Just curious really, The bands to make me do this were Nine Inch Nails and Audioslave. Discovered them when i was 12/13 and i been in love with them ever since.

Most likely Meshuggah, Tool, Igor Stravinsky and Gustav Mahler. Those artists impress me with their songwriting abilities, and with being able to always think of something new.
Tosin Abasi and Allan Holdsworth impress me on the technical side of music. Before them I would've thought that kind of music to be impossible on one guitar, but no, they proved me wrong.
Meshuggah and Dire Straits :v:

Sure, I'd heard Alive like everyone else, but I bought that album, listened from start to finish, and blew my fucking mind.

Rush, Aphex Twin, Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, and Devin Townsend's numerous projects also had the same effect on me.
