Here's a handy list: - 60 FPS frame rate - Additional deferred lights per scene - Additional shadows per scene - Higher-resolution render targets - Higher-resolution shadows - Increased detail over distances - NVIDIA SLI Multi-GPU support - Options to adjust seven graphics features (Effects, Lighting, Screen Filtering, Shadows, Texture Filtering, Textures) - Resolution support up to and including 3840x2160 (4K) - Screen Space Reflections
Think the system reqs were out a day or two ago, but here they are anyway
Minimum Specifications OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit or later Processor: Core i5 Sandy Bridge 4 Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above Memory: 4GB RAM or above Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 or above DirectX: Version 11 or above Recommended Specifications Processor: Core i5 Sandy Bridge 4 Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above Memory: 8GB RAM or above Graphics: GeForce GTX 760 or above
The game is locked at 60fps btw http://steamcommunity.com/app/311340/discussions/0/613941122619835287/#c617319460827117256
The FPS is locked at 60 for MGSV:GZ.
Here's the graphics menu cos you love that shit [t]http://imgkk.com/i/6036.jpg[/t]
This looks drastically better than the PS4 version. I'm surprised, considering Metal Gear Solid has always focused on the PlayStation consoles until now.
i'm just happy its coming to pc at all, but the added effort to take advantage of good computers is awesome thanks kojima
Thanks Kojima, now give us the Legacy Collection pls pls
I really don't understand "4K, SLI, 60fps" etc being "features". So I can choose my own resolution, both my graphics cards will work and it should run reasonably well? Not nagging at this game in particular, just something that seems to be common on games now.
I thought MGS V was Phantom Pain. Can someone explain to me what is going on?
I thought MGS V was Phantom Pain. Can someone explain to me what is going on?
Ground zeroes is prequel to MGS v phantom pain

I CANT STOP CUMMING Edit: I'm so ready for this game
HAHA WOW, THANKS KOJIMA #kojimaworldorder
I don't understand the 60 fps cap. Can't they make it unlimited?
Here's some thumbnails for the comparison shots: (PS4 left, PC right) [t]http://international.download.nvidia.com/geforce-com/international/images/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes-cliffs-playstation-4.jpg[/t] [t]http://international.download.nvidia.com/geforce-com/international/images/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes-cliffs-pc.jpg[/t] [t]http://international.download.nvidia.com/geforce-com/international/images/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes-steam-playstation-4.jpg[/t] [t]http://international.download.nvidia.com/geforce-com/international/images/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes-steam-pc.jpg[/t] The extra lighting and screen space reflections are really impressive. Can't wait to jump into this.
Oh man so excited! But the system requirements tho

They don't really make sense when talking about pc since you can choose your own resolution and framerate
I can live with a 60fps cap if that's the only issue with the port
Dear Ubisoft, Take notes. -Everyone [editline]21st November 2014[/editline]
Oh man so excited! But the system requirements tho
The recommended specs are less than the recommended specs for AC:Unity. AC:Unity asks for a GTX 780, this is only a 760. That's a ~$450 card VS a ~$200 card.
[t]http://international.download.nvidia.com/geforce-com/international/images/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes/metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes-steam-pc.jpg[/t]
on snake's left, is that bounced light off the container unit? fuckiiing excellent
it's screen space reflections with consideration to the material's gloss level
seven graphics features
Kojima knows PC gaming.
its sad that 4K, SLI, 60fps is in the title not because of anything but the fact that so many AAA devs are becoming shit
I just don't see what's supposed to be impressive here, the game's last gen roots are obvious. Looks underwhelming on PS4, and now looks better but still underwhelming.
I really don't understand "4K, SLI, 60fps" etc being "features". So I can choose my own resolution, both my graphics cards will work and it should run reasonably well? Not nagging at this game in particular, just something that seems to be common on games now.
Thats because of bad ports, made by lazy devs who rush games out. They give some shitty excuse on how its their artistic vision (ass creed and ubisoft) so you get a gimped version of a game. So whenever devs tell you their game is gonna have this and that, you could rest easy on how its a well ported game. Which kinda sucks because it feels like you're going back in time when games promised 3d graphics, as if they had never been done before, which obviously they had not, except in this case, they are promising something that should be in every single pc game. You can look at it from two ways aswell. You either think of it as devs making you rest assured that their game isnt gonna be a shitty port, or think that they are pulling a finger on you by saying the game is good because it has those settings everyone wants in games.
what PS3 game
Pretty much any decent looking PS3 game. Nothing about this looks impressive. What I'm seeing here is a barren world, lack of props, hideous cross-hatch dithering on hair and foliage, lots of low resolution textures, lack of fine details, low poly models. The reflections aren't anything impressive either, even Vita could handle screen space reflections (see: Killzone Mercenary) If this wasn't a MGS game, I doubt people would be praising the graphics at all.
Guess it's as good a time as any to try out a MGS game.
The only other next gen game that runs at 1080p60hz is Smash Bros
This is absolutely wrong. Incomplete list of games on PS4/Xbone that are 1080p/60fps: PS4: Blacklight Retribution, CoD:AW, CoD:Ghosts, Dying Light, Fifa 14, Flower, MGSV, Metro Redux, MLB14, Minecraft, Murdered Soul Suspect, NBA 2k14, Outlast, Plants vs Zombies: GW, Planetside 2, Pro Evo Soccer 15, Project Cars, Resogun, Shadow Warrior, Skylanders Swap Force, Sniper Elite 3, Diablo 3, Tearaway Unfolded, The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, Trials Fusion, Trine 2, FlOw, The Unfinished Swan, Uncharted 4, Warframe, War Thunder Most indies. Yes Kojima more love for PC.
Guess it's as good a time as any to try out a MGS game.
This is why they need to release the Legacy collection on PC. People are going to start with GZ, and it's going to give people the wrong idea of what MGS games are about.
is there any real reason why 4k is ever touted as a feature? doesnt seem like a big issue to most games to be able to just edit the ini and make it 4k or w/e
I think its more of a confirmation just to say "look, we've tested it running at 4K and it works fine".
Only issue is locked at 60. I have a 144hz monitor and this saddens me.
