Fox News anchor Shepard Smith is noted for being a levelheaded journalist who isn't afraid to take a moment to set things straight. He took a few minutes Wednesday afternoon to lay out the facts about Ebola cases in the United States and address some misleading stories that have begun to circulate. It's well worth a watch. While Smith is spot-on that people in the U.S. are relatively safe from the virus, it is also important to note that the situation in West Africa is getting worse. There may not be an outbreak in the U.S., but the World Health Organization warns that there could be 10,000 new cases per week in West Africa by December. That escalation opens the door to serious geopolitical, macroeconomic and health consequences. Later, Smith took issue with Fox News correspondent Doug McKelway's use of the phrase "widespread panic" to describe the national reaction to Ebola. Smith did mention the outbreak in Africa at that point, noting that there's no such outbreak in the U.S. "It's not worth ratings," he said.
http://mashable.com/2014/10/15/fox-news-shep-smith-ebola/
Holy shit someone from Fox who isn't complete shit?
Well. If thats not the first time I've ever agreed with a Fox News Reporter.
Holy shit someone from Fox who isn't complete shit?
Shepard Smith is arguably the most reasonable person on Fox. Though its not like that is saying much itself given how fucking insane the rest of them are.

Well fuck, this guy is pretty good.
why is this dude on fox? he could take over john oliver's show and be funnier
Fox News does not deserve this guy
Maybe if he keeps this up, he will be soon saying "This is CNN, breaking news" for real.
Shepard Smith is still quite conservative and absolutely a perfect fit for Fox on a political level. But overall, he's not that bad.
Shepard Smith is still quite conservative and absolutely a perfect fit for Fox on a political level. But overall, he's not that bad.
You don't have to be a liberal to be outraged at idiocy.
You don't have to be a liberal to be outraged at idiocy.
I'm talking about people asking why he's on Fox.
Shepard Smith is still quite conservative and absolutely a perfect fit for Fox on a political level. But overall, he's not that bad.
Exactly, Shepard is not an oasis on Fox News. he just speaks his mind a bit more than the others who follow strict rules and guidelines. He's still very conservative.
why is this dude on fox? he could take over john oliver's show and be funnier
because he still says plenty of dumb shit
Oh Shepard
There is an irony to this being on the network that is devoting the most airtime to drumming up Ebola fear and trying to get people to blame the administration for it.
Oh Shepard
Damn he sounds really upset about it too
Shep is a really good guy
Holy shit someone from Fox who isn't complete shit?
he's also the guy who said on camera WE ARE AMERICA, WE DO NOT FUCKING TORTURE PEOPLE, WE. DO. NOT. TORTURE. when Guantanamo broke out. He's got stripes.
As a journalist, you're not supposed to say that, even on Fox. especially with the F-bomb dropped in prime time. "We report, you decide"
Shepard Smith is arguably the most reasonable person on Fox. Though its not like that is saying much itself given how fucking insane the rest of them are.
Maybe Fox hired him as the straight-man to all the other anchors' shenanigans? To which off camera he says to the other anchors: "Oh youuuuu."
And Shepard Smith was never seen again.
Andy Levy is on Fox and he's pretty cool, i don't know if he's said stupid shit though. Gonna assume he has :v:
Fox News does not deserve this guy
Maybe not, but they do need him.
I wonder if other cable news anchors are also as sane as he is, but choose to act as an insane person just to make money.
I don't get what's wrong with him arguing against torture? it does run pretty contrary to what America purportedly stands for
There's nothing wrong with it, and I'm glad he said it.
he reminds me of Will McAvoy from the Newsroom
Shepard Smith is the most legit anchor at Fox News. I think he gets that privilege though. But yeah Ebola isn't that bad. What I mean to say is that the news media makes it seem worse than it is. What do you see when you flip on a 24/7 news network? Headlines about either Ebola or ISIS. It's just the big story they run for a few weeks until everyone gets bored of it. They do it for sensationalism. If Oprah Winfrey died, Obama had an affair, or a huge hurricane hit Florida, they'd drop the current stories and move onto that.
