Honestly I did not see this coming. People have been asking for it for a while but I didn't really see the need. 1st and 2nd gen did well with a remake since it allowed connectivity with the later gens, but 3 has always been able to connect with 4, which connects with 5 etc. I guess this does make it a bit easier, plus imagine all the great locations in gen 3 in FULL 3D
