I would also like to note that Keiji Inafune himself said that all Kickstarter funds are being forwarded towards the game, not the show.
I'm looking forward to it, but Beck's face makes him look like he came out of one of those educational shows for little children.
I'm always in favor of more children's cartoon protagonists with heavy machine guns.
Even though I have high hopes for MNo9 , it seems kinda silly to announce an Animated Series before the game has even released.
Im curious to see what happens though. Is this going to air on television, or is it a web series?
the game itself's gonna have to look a lot better than it does now to justify this existing

It's a TV series. Also, the kickstarter campaign made over $1M in less than 24 hours. It'd be silly to assume there's not enough interenst to make a show.

What is this, they need more money?

Beck's face looks weird.
why the hell do you announce a animated series for a game that hasn't came out yet.
But let’s make this crystal clear: this new funding campaign is for bonus content in the Mighty No. 9 video game. We are reaching out to current backers, but even more so to those who missed out on the Kickstarter campaign for a chance to put even more features in this jam-packed game. Any new funding will NOT go towards existing content in the current state of the game, but bonus content to be implemented into the title.
That's nice to hear and all, but they got ~4m, why are they basically doing a second kickstarter?

games are expensive to make

They could at least tell us what all the stretch goals are.

Remember what Hideki Kamiya Says

every time i see more things about mighty no 9, the more i believe that statement

Because their last stretch goal was, you guessed it, $4m. They need more money for this bonus content because they basically don't have any money saved up from the kickstarter.

Because you can always have more money to make the game a bit better. The Repopulation (spiritual successor to SWG) has had four or five crowd funding movements and it really shows.
If someone's going to buy the game anyways, why not let them pitch in while it'd actually do some good? Not to mention they're probably saving a bit of money when it eventually comes out too.

He's right in some respect. I bet you to hell he wouldn't be doing this if he got no money from kickstarter and instead had to rely on his passion as a creator.
