To achieve worldwide fame, Bruno travels to the Middle East to make peace. He interviews Abu Aita, and a caption labels the Bethlehem shopkeeper as a member of the militant Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade.

In the interview, Cohen, 37, said he set up the meeting in the West Bank with the help of a CIA agent. Cohen said he feared for his safety and interviewed the "terrorist" at a secret location chosen by Abu Aita. A clip was then played on The Late Show with David Letterman. According to the lawsuit, however, the interview with Abu Aita took place at a hotel chosen by Cohen and located in a part of the West Bank that was under Israeli military control.
Ok. So basically, the person he interviewed is suing for slander.
Didn't the people in Kazakhstan sue him for using footage in Borat? Or something like that. It was a long time ago.
Didn't the people in Kazakhstan sue him for using footage in Borat? Or something like that. It was a long time ago.
Ministry of tourism or something banned him from entering Kazakhstan (for "ruining the image of Kazakhstan").
bruno was a horrible movie so it deserves it
To be honest, even if someone's an ignorant redneck, I don't like the idea of exploiting them to make a movie out of it. Few people deserve that kind of humiliation.
While that film wasn't very good, Cohen has a talent for enraging close-minded people.
Ministry of tourism or something banned him from entering Kazakhstan (for "ruining the image of Kazakhstan").
Cohen should've learned his lesson the first time. Bruno was just stupid.
this is all you need
Hilarious but so mean at the same time.
Ministry of tourism or something banned him from entering Kazakhstan (for "ruining the image of Kazakhstan").
Oh dear lord no, not Kazakhstan!
Didn't the people in Kazakhstan sue him for using footage in Borat? Or something like that. It was a long time ago.
The footage from "kazakhstan" in borat is actually from Romania...
The footage from "kazakhstan" in borat is actually from Romania...
I didn't look that far into it. It was a dumb movie. I just heard about him getting sued on the news a long time ago. And Kazakhstan is an actual country, if that's what you're trying to disprove.
Of course Cohen needed protection, he's Jewish.

He's stating that it wasn't filmed there. IIRC they told Romania that they were going to film some video to inform people of the poverty there so they had to pay the government fuck all.
I know that kazakhstan is a country, im just saying that what you see in the movie is Romania :)
I figured. It's surprising how many people think it's not real though.
Bruno sucked anyways, so did Borat so fuck that guy.
Borat was awesome, gtfo, you have no taste in films!

Ali G was the last funny film Sacha made.
Bruno sucked anyways, so did Borat so fuck that guy.
Bruno was good. Ali G was better. Borat was the best.
