YONKERS - Police are looking for the suspect who shot a pregnant woman in the stomach, narrowly missing the baby she was carrying.
The Baby survived, Turns out she was also kicked in the stomach previously. Someones trying to prevent that child from being born (Child support)
Edit:
Yeah, I don't live too far from this at all, Only a couple of blocks. Story really gets to me the fact this is attempt two at trying to kill the baby. People didn't believe that the first attempt was trying to kill that kid.
Hopefully he/she is born without mental or physical complications due to the trauma.
I hope they catch the piece of shit. I had strong feelings against someone who harms a pregnant women and potentially her baby. I have a close friend who almost lost her kid due to an abusive boyfriend. Luckily he got what was coming to him.
What kind of piece of shit human being... ugh I'm not even going to.
i bet the woman knows very well who shot her and tried to kill her baby.
and i hope he gets what he deserves for doing that.
I hope this doesn't affect the pregnecy.
How should I know? Why does that even matter?
Inmates are pretty vicious towards people who are inside because they fucked with children or babies.
Bulletproof baby!
Were the pregnancy terminated as a result I would have no problem giving this man a murder conviction.

Doesn't it depend on the age of the unborn child whether it's murder or not? I mean, there comes a point where you have to consider the fetus not fully living yet, which is the same argument for abortion. If the child is younger than the legal abortion limit, I must say, I wouldn't count this as murder, because the child could very well have been terminated by the mother without any legal constraints. How ever I do think he could be sued for emotional trauma.

We can't have one rule for one person and another for another person. Either abortion is murder, and this is murder or Abortion is fine and this is grievous bodily harm against the mother.

James made an excellent point though, if the fetus is severely undeveloped my statement would not stand.
A nine-months-pregnant woman (I say this as an example, not knowing the age of this particular fetus) sees her child as a child and not as a piece of her flesh. To her it is a person. This is why a late-term miscarriage is a severe tragedy rather than a mere medical condition of the mother. In such cases I would consider it murder.

What if a mother considers her 3-month old or younger fetus a child and it gets killed
What if a mother considers her 3-month old or younger fetus a child and it gets killed
Well, it was in the state of NY, where the abortion limit is 24 weeks (about 5 months), so I guess I would still refer to it as a fetus regardless. (http://www.guttmacher.org/statecenter/spibs/spib_OAL.pdf)
What makes someone human? Is it an arbitrary age when they are considered 'developed' enough? Is it when they slip out of their mother? Is it based on our feelings towards a child? The argument that life begins at conception is not too unreasonable, because a fertilized egg contains the unique DNA that creates a unique person. People often boil the abortion argument down to something like religion, but the true argument really lies in what makes a human a human.

It is in fact the terminator.

Well we already arbitrarily demarcate 18 year olds as adults

I think it's based off when the fetus starts to feel, which is at about 22 weeks, which I think is a pretty good limit.

That would be an awesome story.
"I got kicked and shot while I was still inside my mother. Do you think you can do anything to me bro!?"
