Twitch finally answered.
TL:DW:
Nude game modes, panty shot mechanic, only way to eliminate rivals was to murder them (incorrect), and the setting of the game
Nude game modes is not a real reason, considering the game has a censorship mode that was made specifically (IIRC?) for streamers.
To the other two correct reasons, I just have a very short answer: "lol"
Not surprising that Twitch has double standards here, they'll allow whatever gets them the most cash.
It's a good match with Danganronpa, in which the main story is literally about schoolkids murdering schoolkids (albeit with pink instead of red blood), and yet that's A-OK.
It's a bit baffling.
Of course Twitch are right not to do anything yet/at all, it's just a waste of time and resources to continually review games during development.

He actually calls them out for that, pointing out that Conan Exiles breaks the rules and that Twitch is arbitrary.
I think that Twitch's promise of reevaluating once the game is done is the best Yanderedev could have hoped for though.
"Sexual harrassment isn't a core focus of the game either - it's completely optional."
oh ok

Also that they can't keep reviewing a game that's in development when it already violated their guidelines before.

Wow, these comments are absolutely idiotic. They'll look even more stupid if they actually try to do something similar.
Also the comments are filled with double standards comparisons that doesn't hold water.
"Oh so THEY allow Doom and all those violent games but they won't allow my 14-year-old girl obsession with psychotic schoolchildren murdering and torturing classmates (that can get naked) in basements, while taking panty-shot as part of currency simulator game? what the fuck Twitch!!"

That's also bullshit, if he actually read through the community guidelines he would know that "occurrences of in-game nudity are permitted, so long as you do not make them a primary focus of your content and only spend as much time as needed in the area to progress the game's story". Yandere has panty shots as part of a core gameplay mechanic, it's already breaking the community guideline rules by having that.

Thing is, if you rank Doom based on the level of violence, it's as violent as you can ever get in a game. I'm including shit like Manhunt since that wasn't extremely violent but predatory, which is what made it weird.
From what I've seen of YS, including your videos, it's not even remotely close to the extreme of its medium as Doom is. Doom has you brutally ripping people apart with your bare hands as a core gameplay mechanic.
I think the problem most people, or atleast I, have is that there's this weird US-centric double standard where extreme violent content is okay, but extreme or in this case vaguely remarked sexual content warrants being shut down, demonized and taken out back for a double barrel execution.
It just doesn't feel very fair. I don't side with this creepy shit either, because that's frankly what it is, but shutting people down on account that it's too extreme when Doom is as extreme as it is on it's own side of the spectrum is moronic.

I'm not sure if Barbie doll anatomy counts as nudity.
Also on a more personal opinion note, wow. This game still looks horrible after what, 3 years in development? It's understandable because yanderedev relies on anonymous help from others (which is an awful idea if you setting up a "big" thing here). But man, this thing will release in 2019, and it has that awful excuse of a look. This game looks like it'll only be successful with the literal underage fans who obsess over this kind of yandere shit when it actually releases.
By doing this, isn't he technically going against Twitch's privacy policy, even if it is regarding himself?
Also, the Conan Exiles bit is debatable. Nudity is not really the core focus of the game. Streamers may focus on it for views, but that's their issue. The game itself does not have a focus on running around in the nude.
That's like saying that Rust has a main focus on nudity just because you start out naked, whenever we know the main focus of the game are elements like survival, base building, and raiding.
The double standard some of the anime games get though is pretty ridiculous, though I can still understand that, as some of the visual novels banned do have sex as a focus or a major theme.

I think Doom itself is such an specific example you're choosing. There are faaar more modern games here releasing with sexual content that goes through twitch because they don't make it into a central focus or a core gameplay mechanic (GTAV, Conan, maaany others). Yandere Simulator does also have the sexual content but that content is also part of the core gameplay and as such can include intended sexual undertones. It's a no-brainer why Twitch decided to ban the game from their platform.
Also not to mention how borderline young the characters are, and how the game is mainly about torturing, kidnapping, harassing and killing them. Some of those qualities also being sexual. The torturing part mentions about mind breaking a certain student into suicide. And oh boy that's totally not allowed within Twitch.
Twitch also bans every single AO game rated by ESBR. So yes. stuff like Manhunt and Hatred is also banned.

Rust also starts you out with a pixelated censor, which is the default

The problem is, it goes both ways. Nudity isn't the core focus of YanSim either, you only get it if you go to the showers (where it makes sense to have undressed people), and in an easter egg (not main focus, also removed shortly after). You don't start out naked either. It's only a main focus if you make one out of it... Just like the other games.
Plus, YanSim doesn't have explicit nudity either, it's all hidden by a ~magic steam~ (which is a poke at anime's censorship with light streams, steam, conveniently placed objects, etc).
Rust also starts you out with a pixelated censor, which is the default
Agreed, but you can also disable it.
And that also used to not be the case in the early days, when it was also streamed.
My point is, censored or not, nudity is not the core focus of the game. Same applies to Conan Exiles.
Nudity isn't a core focus of YanSim either though, so no idea why Twitch listed that as one of its reasons.

This. It might as well be the only reason the game got suspended
I especially like the murder-reason, because rarely in a videogame you kill people. Right?
-snip-
As much as twitch twist their rules, have different rules for when it suits them and are generally getting shittier with their bans/policies.
I'm in favour of twitch in regards to this "game" though. His examples seem also a bit extreme, bringing up Danganronpa for one. Context goes a long way, there's a difference between a character being involved in a murder mystery where you're trying to solve it versus killing children to get a boyfriend.
He guy seems a bit full of himself too from what I gathered from a couple videos, and seems extremely unlikable
Conan Exiles is a bit of a weird one. Even the conan MMO had nudity. Conan itself has a great deal of sexual tones and nudity even if you're not looking at the games. I guess it's similar to the stick of truth game, its just what southpark is, obscene humour, sex jokes, arseholes and other stuff. It's not that the games are focusing on being sexual or disgusting. It's just what they are...?
I know people will probably disagree but It's impossible for twitch to keep everyone happy.
I'm not gonna bother and I don't really care, but if I was YanDev I would organize a mass protest by asking people to request game bans for other games that fit that criteria en masse and inundate their system. If they ignore it, you just keep flooding their system to demand logical consistency in their rules as customers to highlight their failure and cost them time and money. If they acquiesce and ban the games, then you've at least forced consistency and clarity in their rules, and inevitably have driven users away from Twitch as they realize that too many games aren't acceptable as per their rules, costing them money. If they go back on the ban, then again you've forced them to rethink their approach with clear rules and improved the platform. Either way, you win.
Not saying he should do this, mind you, but it's what I would do.

Pantyshots are nudity? That Nier: Automata game has a pantyshot mechanic programmed in, logically that should be banned too.
I still don't know who to side with, this seems like an issue where neither party really comes out on top in terms of smart decisions.
I guess it's nice that there's at least two-way communication going on between them now.

The amount of users who would be driven from twitch over this game and this shit would be next to none
Flooding the system is irrelevant since those games are underrepresented anyway on the front page
99% of twitch viewers occupy the top 7-10 games on the front page. Unless big streamers leave to help protest this game that is not worth anything compared to their livelihood to them, there's no reason for twitch to care

not gonna lie this sounds pretty pathetic
yandere sim is obstensibly a game about murdering school children for funsies, with all the cliche ecchi anime tropes to go with it.
when you look at the other games on the banned list ( https://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/1992676-list-of-prohibited-games ) it really seems obvious that it should be banned.
Danganronpa is not a good comparison because in the games you never do the killing yourself. Plus theres the fact that the blood is pink and also because for the most part the game isn't intended to be offensive or graphic, like pretty much all the games on the list INCLUDING yandere sim

Honestly the only two points that have really bugged me about twitch, YS personally seems really really creepy ( esp. the guy making it to me ) but twitch has seen far worse on its service. Like when someone streamed an uncensored version of manhunt 1 which was promoted to front page due to watchers.

So basically they have a double standard problem.
Is this going to be another thread where we debate which flavor of non-existent people is and isn't okay to kill in video games?
