Not sure what to call this image yet, but it's kind of supposed to be a demon being created, and having its powers (Or whatever) collected.
I am incredible happy with this image. Too kem two hours to do :3

He has shapeshifter abilities, too. Hence the big-ass sword on the arm. Yes, I was inspired by Prototype. Sort of.
For those who recognize it, but don't know from where:
I used to be Ambassador on these forums, and this demon was my supposed mascot (Avatar and character used in MS Paint roleplaying etc).
I decided I should bring him back to life.
You should learn either pen-tool double-tracing, or keeping your hand steady when you ink.
Meh. Layers are fucked up, some stuff appear to be above stuff it's supposed to be under on, pose is boring, colours are flat, colours aren't many and it's overall boring and not eye katching. It doesn't have any of this flow nor atmosphere nor power thing going. Proportions are bullshit. It overall looks really static like it's a statue with fancy hologram lighting. Everything is flat, shading is absolutely boring and utterly fails to fulfill it's purpose of creating an illusion of depth and space. Not deserving it's own thread either. I'm intrested what did you do all these two hours.
To improve:
Break shit down into shapes - no one draws a direct outline first and adds details and calls it a day. only pricks with absolute vision are capable of it, and you're clearly not one of them. Basically this means you take an head for example, and break it down into simple shapes(like a sphere and a wedge) that bring forth and express the uttermost needs of this object: Head is round and chin tends to be pointy. There, that's it.
Use skeletons- Remember drawing stickfigures? Good. Everyone does that. Use those stickfigures to get the basic proportions and pose right and then proceed to add muscles and shit ontop of it.
Posing: bear in mind the centre of mass, it's movements and future and past and all the laws of physics.
shading: Use mroe than one value, for digipaintings shit is usually "molded" out, in grayscale basically the outline is done in dark tones and then middtones and highlights are gradually added to "mold" the shape out. I'm absolutely shite on digital mediums tough, best let some other dudes better expain this to you. D will elaborate, I hope.
Proportion: look up proportion sheets. Learn how to use your pencil to measure.
Anatomy: Kill some bitch, dissect it's corpse and learn. Or just use alot of reference images and buy an anatomy book and learn all the muscle names in latin and annoy your friends by doing compliments on their gluteus maximus and pectoris major.
And since you suck now I say follow tutorials on everything.
And for encouragement: I am not your mother, I'm not here to pet the ass of a dead guy, but if you have a longer attention span than a 5 year old in a bag of candy you'll find the results you'll be achiving after some practise better than any faked sentance of a mod-avoiding asshole on some random forums.
Forigve for any mistakes and overall bullshit, my brain is not cooperating, I just came from a party.
or keeping your hand steady when you ink.
It was like 3AM when I started, hence my not-so-steady hand.
I'm intrested what did you do all these two hours.
Drawing this. What else would I do?
Brake shit down into shapes: I DID brake shit down in shapes. I always do.
Skeletons: I ALWAYS use skeletons, ever since I STARTED drawing.
Posing: What do you mean "centre of mass" and "law of physics"? It's a freakin' Demon with super-muscles and shit.
Shading: I'll remember that.
Anatomy: Now you're just being silly. My biggest major error in anatomy is hips, hands and waist.

How the hell is my attention span of any importance? For your information I have excellent attention span.
And what the hell do you mean with "faked sentance of a mod-avoiding asshole on some random forums"?
I'm just going to classify as slightly drunk, m'kay?
I'm going to agree with 3v3ryb0dy for once, as one who is an expert at fucking up anatomy and drawing in genreal, I really can't see why it took 2 hours to create this. Try using more atmospheric lighting and add some more detail to it's body (which needs sorting out a bit too) to make it look a bit better
I'm a teetolarer if you doun't cont in the occasional wine with dinner.
I hate when peopls pell my name word for werd it's "Everybody" or "That prickw ith penguin avatar"
[editline]03:49PM[/editline]
anyways look up tuts from drawspace.com and deviantart and all thatshit

Fixation.
Wait what? Your name isn't "Everybody" it's "3v3ryb0dy". Word by word?
You're drunk. Go to bed.
I really can't see why it took 2 hours to create this.
I was tired. It was 3AM when I started drawing it, so I had to focus a lot on what I was doing. Normally this takes like half an hour.
atmospheric lighting[/quote
wut
I did this in 15 minutes (actually, I think it was about 17 but I wasnt timing exactly) before dinner. It's sorta based on yours, I'm just trying to show what I meant by "atmospheric lighting", see how mine isn't quite as flat coloured as yours, it has shading etc

No, I'd say your biggest "major error" is anatomy. You are just making it all up it's not based on studies and im not drunk I'm kind-of tiread and my fingers refuse to cooperate cause I've been practising uitar for past 2 hours.
[editline]04:19PM[/editline]
And Flyth, torso is 3 heads tall.
Hmm, I was under the impression that it was just over 2, 3 was for statues of a more heroic nature (like Greek statues), although maybe I'm confusing it with 3 normally and 4 for hero's. Anyway, like i said, real rough drawing (as is apparent), just trying to show him what I meant
Idunno the way I measure(really pohhuistic way) I get 3-ish head. First one ends 'round the rib cage, second one near the second/third segment of rectrus abdomis, and third one goes from there till end of crotch.
