The police department is releasing next to no information on this incident. Until more info comes out, it looks like well... murder? I don't really expect the cop to get punished though.
Until more info comes out, it looks like well... murder? I don't really expect the cop to get punished though.
No, his punishment will be very severe... Paid leave... I shudder just thinking about it.
No, his punishment will be very severe... Paid leave... I shudder just thinking about it.
How many times do people have to explain what that means in this context before people start actually reading it?
How many times do people have to explain what that means in this context before people start actually reading it?
He does it every time I think, at this point, I think he is just trolling by saying it.
Until more info comes out, it looks like well... murder? I don't really expect the cop to get punished though.
There's a limit to what can conceivably be brushed under the rug.
Well. This is really fucked up with no explanation yet. No information is being released pending the active investigation, which is normal.. which sucks because we only have a short amount of facts to deal with
No, his punishment will be very severe... Paid leave... I shudder just thinking about it.
This should be considered a snipe comment. But, I'll keep posting the truth behind "paid leave" until the ignorance stops being spread
what if every time this happened, the cop was actually [you're favorite movie cop that had to bend the rules to get the job done]?

Not a professional but this might be the reason.
Nobody says the cop came in, shot him, then walked out. The cop came in and shot him, yes. But nowhere does it say that he just strolled off into the night afterwards.
Maybe he tap-danced into the night with an umbrella.
Nah, Colorado Springs has laws against that.
I sure hope that cop comes up with one hell of a reason for kicking a door without calling for backup and shooting a man in his own house. I don't suppose that cop had a camera on him...
"This is an active investigation; therefore, no further release of information will be provided until the conclusion of the investigation." Not a professional but this might be the reason.
I didn't ask why, merely stated.
No, his punishment will be very severe... Paid leave... I shudder just thinking about it.
I'd like to see you say this to the face of any regular officer that has done nothing but their job.
I didn't ask why, merely stated.
You could have said "police have not released information at this time". The way you said it makes it seem like you think the police are purposely withholding information as a cover-up
You could have said "police have not released information at this time". The way you said it makes it seem like you think the police are purposely withholding information as a cover-up
You're putting implications into my words. Read them for what they are, that is all I meant.
I didn't ask why, merely stated.
oh comon seriously, you think anyone buys that? you implied that A: this shooting was a murder and was therefore unlawful B: that the cop just walked away from the shooting as opposed to following protocol and C: that the police are deliberately withholding information when none of these things were stated in the article or even implied your bias here is pretty fuckin' obvious
oh comon seriously, you think anyone buys that? you implied that A: this shooting was a murder and was therefore unlawful B: that the cop just walked away from the shooting as opposed to following protocol and C: that the police are deliberately withholding information when none of these things were stated in the article or even implied your bias here is pretty fuckin' obvious
Erm, in this moment in time I am on the murdered person's side until the PD releases information. I still wasn't making implications. Stop reflecting your distrust.
Erm, in this moment in time I am on the murdered person's side until the PD releases information. I still wasn't making implications. Stop reflecting your distrust.
That's a pretty big implication right there...
That's a pretty big implication right there...
The objective truth with the information that we currently have is that he was murdered. This can change.
The objective truth with the information that we currently have is that he was murdered. This can change.
uhhh no that would be a presumption of guilt, and that doesn't happen whether you are a cop or not
The objective truth with the information that we currently have is that he was murdered. This can change.
I thought we were innocent until proven guilty? Implying "murder" means that it was an unjustified taking of a life, and thus criminal. The objective truth that we have is that a man was shot twice by a police officer and subsequently died.
There's a lot of crazy in this story, as given in those three articles. He has a criminal record, the dead guy that is. So did the cop just happen to randomly pick someone with a criminal record to murder? The cop shot him in the back, in front of witnesses? That's going to be hard to explain. And that part about them shouting at each other, shouting what? A 27 year old guy 'helping' someone babysit? And riding home on a skateboard? It's a wild story.
The objective truth with the information that we currently have is that he was murdered. This can change.
An objective truth would be one with all the details, you can't get anything objective from a news story that lacks even basic info about what happened.
it's perfumly, he's the next yawmwen.
it's perfumly, he's the next yawmwen.
Perfumly is making a slow descent into madness. I think he's hitting the threshold age for Schizophrenia to appear in males.
