The man who did The Dark Knight has a hand pick at these directors. Who would you pick? Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code), Jonathan Liebesman (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Battle: Los Angeles and just-signed for Clash of the Titans 2), Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), Tony Scott (True Romance, Unstoppable), Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300)
Snyder is doing Suckerpunch if Im not mistaken, and it looks bloody awesome. A new superman would be awesome.
Zack Snyder - Overrated Tony Scott - Sure Matt Reeves - I guess Johnathan Liebesman - what the fuck no Duncan Jones - Moon was brilliant. Yes.
I loved moon but I dont see how that could be translated into an action superhero movie.
If Source Code is as good as Moon I'd choose Duncan Jones for sure.
Why doesn't he just direct it himself
Why doesn't he just direct it himself
he's kind of busy with this little film called batman 3 Also i say Yes to duncan jones and yes to Reeves only because of how good Let Me In apparently is. But i accidently just voted Duncan hurr
I'd be perfectly willing to wait for a new superman movie if Chris Nolan directed it after he was done with Batman 3 But out of those choices I'd probably say Duncan and Reeves. Tony Scott's alright too I suppose.
^ Completely agree. But otherwise possibly Zach Snyder. He did the whole superhero thing very well in Watchmen.
I always thought Superman was just kind of lame.
I always thought Superman was just kind of lame.
after Batman & Robin, we all thought batman was pretty lame too
after Batman & Robin, we all thought batman was pretty lame too
If Nolan can make me think of Superman as an interesting character he is a godsend
I want all of them to direct it together. Just call it "Clusterfuck; the film" Why is the poll a multi choice thing? I mean really.
Why doesn't Nolan just direct? He's better than those directors combined!
^ Completely agree. But otherwise possibly Zach Snyder. Rorschach, the Comedian, maybe Nite Owl and Dr. Manhattan were good. Everyone else was bad.
Snyder. It needs to be an extremely violent action movie with slow motion for every kill.
Zack Snyder seems to have experience in comic book adaptations. I imagine his Superman movie to be very stylized.
do batman vs superman!!
Why doesn't Nolan just direct? He's better than those directors combined!
They've already set a release date for this, just a few months after batman 3. Nolan can't do two films at once.
Superman in my opinion, has always sucked due to the fact he's way too overpowered. When a character has a list of weaknesses, you know he's got too many strengths. I doubt Nolan can make him that interesting without considerably demolishing the character.
I doubt Nolan can make him that interesting without considerably demolishing the character.
Chris Nolan is just the producer, the storyline is being done by David S Goyer (even though imdb lists chris as co script writer which I've never heard anywhere)
Snyder seem to suit a combination of Nolan and Goyer best, the other guys (although they make great films) would stick out a bit.
I like Snyder. :smug:
I always thought Superman was just kind of lame.
At the risk of pissing off superman nerdes, it's always been a weak character in comparison with say, Batman. Cmon he's a fucking invincible superhuman whos only weakness is some alien cock rock that always manages to show up inconveniently in the hands of a bad guy, despite the fact that superman can blast him into oblivion from the moon. Probably was an amazing spectacle of a character for the kids of the 40s and 50s. Pretty boring and one dimensional character in 2010. But I digress. I voted Snyder, but to be honest I'd rather see the director of moon have a go.

Chris Nolan used the original Superman movie as inspiration for Batman Begins. Thats why he wont direct.
Chris Nolan used the original Superman movie as inspiration for Batman Begins.
Or it could have something to do with the fact the two films are going to be made at the same time
You think Batman and Superman will be released at the same time? That would be awesome actually :v:
You think Batman and Superman will be released at the same time? That would be awesome actually :v:
Not at the same time no, but the same year. Batman 3 is set for 20th of July and Superman for December of 2012. 2012 is gonna be the year for superheroes fucking hell. The Avengers comes out at the start of summer that year as well, as does the Spider Man reboot and Ghost Rider 2. [editline]03:06PM[/editline] http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=34014 lol welp looks like this might just be another rumor. Unless Reeves is just being secretive about it or just hasn't been told yet for some odd reason.
He's more vulnerable than you think he is. Sure, Kryptonite weakens him. So does Magic in-fact. It can hurt him pretty badly! His powers are fueled by our yellow sun. Unlike his planet where it was red.
