Why was he so mad
Why was he so mad
He says why at the end? :v:
Why was he so mad
he didn't like that guy...and he fooled him... [sp]and it was for tv[/sp]
There's another video in the description that gives some more context about the trick
It was for TV and also he was impressed because card tricks are a dime a dozen -- and he thought he'd seen them all. It was a good, clean, up front, card trick; probably one of the hardest tricks to pull on Penn and Teller.
It's a trick they did and do all the time so they're very good at it and here comes this guy, and he literally upstages them, and does it in a way they can't understand. That's why he's "mad". Because he's a lifetime magician, being taught something on a trick he knows inside and out.
seeing it in the first time or in person blows your mind but since it's a video [sp]at 4:00 he shuffles them into two piles and 4:06 he switches them to the same side[/sp]

He does it right in front of you, with no misdirection, you're literally looking at it being done, and you have no idea how the guy is that good with his hands, or how he knows what moves to make.

Nothing before that point mattered because he could manipulate it there[/sp]

Kostya Kimlat owns. It's a shame Warning is sold out, I've wanted to purchase that trick for over a year.
Only thing I can think of is when they were sliding the cards back in the deck, he was brushing the cards in such a way that they are either: 1. being flipped right side up discretely or 2. being grouped separately face up/face down and then aligned accordingly when he does those 4 small movements to the deck right before the final fan stroke reveal.

Yeah he's definitely playing it up for laughs, when he returns to his seat, Penn is grinning like a child.
