Amid mounting questions at the White House about Russia, three prominent members of President Trump’s family — his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., and Eric’s wife, Lara — have ramped up their engagement with the Republican Party’s national political operation, having met privately with GOP leaders to share their concerns and outlook.
Their most recent effort came Thursday, when the president’s eldest sons and Lara Trump visited the Republican National Committee’s headquarters in Washington. Those three family members, who were invited by the RNC, stayed for about two hours, according to four people who were not authorized to speak publicly.
Their appearance at the RNC irked at least two prominent Republicans who were briefed on the session, who wondered whether it was appropriate for the president’s sons, who run the Trump family real estate business, to be highly involved in discussing the party’s strategy and resources.
But two other people familiar with the meeting said it was appropriate for the president’s sons and daughter-in-law, who all volunteered for Trump’s campaign, to huddle with Republican leaders and offer their perspective on what would be most helpful to President Trump ahead of the 2018 midterm elections and the 2020 presidential race.
Eric and Donald Jr. are managing Trump's businesses for him in his not-blind-at-all trust, and they're also actively involved with the GOP.
Lock 'em all up, let irony slam it out of the park.
Also, Trump only took office four months ago, and the GOP is already planning for 2020? I think it's time to get rid of political parties, the Dems and Repubs now only exist to perpetuate themselves.

If you figure out how to get rid of political parties I will love you, and worship you as a god.
Because at this rate it won't happen.

Simple. Get rid of idiots, sleezes, assholes and crazies on both sides.

Oh yeah sounds simple enough. What say the two of us pool our resources and knock all the corruption out of America before lunch tomorrow?
You guys should watch some videos by Glen Ford on the Political Duopoly - the pair of orbiting stars, as he likes to describe it. It's got some good insights on how we can get out of the living hell that is the two-party system.

You have to get rid of any idea which has an intrinsic structure would leads corruption. Problem solved.
So yeah I got ideas to do so.
You?

You can consider the problem solved once you identify these ideas that lead to corruption, find a way to actually fix them, convince other people you're on the right track, and somehow implement everything while being attacked by those who are corrupt and in power.
If this were simple the human race would have fixed it long ago.

You can't get rid of political parties. it's impossible. If you make them illegal somehow that violates the first amendment's protection to gather peacefully.
Political parties just make sense for anyone with political leanings. If faced with the prospect that your political enemies will group together, then you must also group together. Funnily enough, I think most voters in this country generally align with the platform of one major party or another (other than fringe voters like libertarians or socialists). The only exception I can think of is how Facepunch is generally pretty liberal but also very anti gun control.
Personally, my political beliefs align with the democratic party. So for me reforming the system is not a question of making the structure of politics fair to all parties but to make the structure of politics in a way that benefits the democrats. At the end of the day, if a more fair system leads to republicans taking control of the government and passing AHCA, then I want a LESS fair system. However, I believe that a more fair system will lead to more democrats in government and less Russian meddling in our politics.
