McDonald's is to move its non-US tax base from Luxembourg to the UK, the company has said.
The new holding company will pay UK tax on the royalties the firm receives outside the US.
McDonald's said it had chosen the UK due to the "significant number of staff" it has in London.
The Luxembourg tax affairs of the burger giant are currently under formal investigation by the European Commission.
McDonald's said that the holding company would have "responsibility for the majority of the royalties received from licensing the company's global intellectual property rights outside the US".

What Banks have confirmed they are leaving?
lmao the only reason they are doing this is because we are leaving the EU now, they want to be safe from the EU's investigations so they are taking advantage of the fact our government will probably blank their doings
still a disgusting and exploitative corporation, this doesn't change anything

Do us all a favor and do something that will make McDonald's crash and disappear from the Earth. I want to tell my grandkids about when we had McDonalds, where you can order like 3,000 calories of food for like $4, it was guaranteed to look like it was trampled, and within 5 minutes goes cold and turns into cardboard

Hey be nice to them, they're paying you almost enough to rent a studio apartment with one other person! That's a good deal you know!

Eat somewhere else if you don't like what you have to offer, and if they still exist after that, well, it's a free market, deal with it.

Would this be punishable under Trumps tariffs? Even if it is he'd just make an exception.
