Yeah, that's right, we all know them, they are everywhere in society, basicly, whenever someone has an opinion, and refuses to drop it. I am of course not gonna drivvel on about the regular religious kind, rather than a different kind, a kind which also should be served as a warning. This mainly goes out to liberals, or those who find the human individual and his right to say what he wishes rather than the government's risk of butthurting more important: The overzealous anti-overzealous prick-pricks. Yeah, it's true, people who support "Freedom of speech" and "racial equilibrium" also has an amazing ability to becomme overzealous and hipocritical, just like all those other biblewaving or tokrawaving or gunwaving or flagwaving madmen. A few pointers and examples: Many people who support freedom of speech, dislikes political representatives who dosn't like it either. They tend to be manipulative and votewhoring bastards, it's true, and everyone should know it. But sometimes they protest their opinion rather than their methods. ALL conservatives are christian morons looking to suck out life from every inch of the everyday, ALL republicans are waremongers oilwhores who seek to erradicate Muslims and ALL lefthanders are raving communist madmen looking to reinstate Soviet and taxate everything but what we wear, and this, of course, is total shit. If you in any way would stand for human rights, you'd applaud their speeches and their banners and their presswhoring, because if they aren't allowed to say what they think, you've simply just taken their place. Outdated political practices should keep a distance, but not further than shouting distance, because it's their right to say their word that makes humanity such a good place to be part of. If we want a true feeling of freedom of speech, we'd have nazi logos plastered over prepaid advertising boards, we'd have satanic rituals in the open streets, we'd have people using the most verbal and graphical words spoken on public television and radios everywhere, we should give the same freedom to the opressors as we'd have ourselves. Maybe some day the nazies will learn from their massive errors and grow up, maybe some day the christians will see that there is no god and do something constructive with their manpower, we can't know for sure, and it does seem doubtable, but either way, we should allow them to have their voice untill the very moment they let out a final whimper and die. So if you fight for human rights. If you enforce the freedom of speech. And if you disagree with what another politician says, remember this: "Freedom isn't free." That may have been taken out of context by warmongers looking to toss some fresh meat into the meatgrinder that war represents, but it still carries a meaning, and even though we should do our best to let every human being say their piece, we should remember to let EVERY human say their piece, no matter how much of it that is fullblown bullshit or not. We should certainly force them to be honest and none of that "If we do this and this, everything's gonna be fine."-bullshit, but instead just provide us with their perspective, and leave the judgement to us, and not their rethorical sugarcoating. I guess my point is, we should stop using oppressive politics as objects of hatred, and let our own opinion seem more valid. It just feels like in a debate these days, people are more eager to label the rival as a jerk, rather than themselves as a reasonable side. So, well, this being facepunch, you all know where to flame. If you're new, it's right below, in the section with the user-written text.
damn i think you could be right, and i too have similar observations. edit:one of these days government will be a thing of the past. but for now it is a battle for more government or less government
You appear to have a lot of zeal for this topic. And yes, it's annoying as hell to see "supporters of freedom" say that all Nazi rallies/WBC members should be shot and then listen to how they try to justify it as those words shouldn't be spoken as if they are a higher judgment.
You appear to have a lot of zeal for this topic.
Not really, if you disagree, I won't try and convince you, I mean, I've said mine, so there is little to add anyways.
I'm not sure where I fit in this. I'm against supressing opinions or arguments but for being able to rip them to shreds. If someone is going to say something stupid, let them and then show them just how stupid it is. I'm not against the WBC protesting, but I do really like it when people organise a counter-protest.
I really have to agree on this, OP. It irritates me on the number of people who try to keep everything ridiculously PC.
I really have to agree on this, OP. It irritates me on the number of people who try to keep everything ridiculously PC.
Well, yeah, and it proves my point. I didn't have to put down anyone by trashtalking them, and I still made a valid point, which is how it should be done. As for "political correction", for that word(s) to make sense, it has to be spoken in any langauge besides English.
