They look very...unoriginal? I mean look at the aliens from mass effect, extremely varied species that are identifiable, even when in black silhouette. Also if this is in the future (assuming so?) they wouldnt be wearing modern clothing, especially human type.

will the hires artwork be included in the preorder special edition?

They wear people clothes because they're assimilated immigrants.

The silhouette is used in the industry to create a character ANYONE could identify, not some person who is already familiar with the characters. They are not meant to be compared to each other but other silhouettes. If I put them with other bipedal alien silhouettes I am sure they would blend right in. Please learn to understand the terminology, because as usual you keep spouting bullshit. They are unoriginal, and the modern clothing comment is not irrelevant, as this is obviously placed in the future and even in the last 60 years clothing has changed dramatically.

If they are meant to look assimilated into human society, putting them into futuristic human fashion wouldn't give the same effect as putting them in more familiar and recognisable modern attire.

Why does fashion need to evolve? People still wear clothes from the 20's currently, it's pretty much a trend right now. What would futuristic clothing look like? It's fiction stop fussing over what would make sense.
