A few hours ago, Rockstar released this gameplay video for L.A. Noire, the upcoming detective game developed by Team Bondi. Much like Red Dead Redemption's gameplay preview videos, there will be more in the months to come before the game's release in May.

Looking great so far
wow i'm really impressed by the facial animations
I think the best part of the facial animations is that they're actually going to be incorporated in the gameplay
The voices are too perfect in addition to the facial animation.
It feels out of place when he speaks, the quality is like you're right next to him when he's running through the bank shooting a shotgun.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I need more dosh.
I've watched it 6 times in a row now and the faces still dont cease to amaze
But you are him.

Also, the voices might not be from ingame, maybe they just threw the source file into the video.
Yes, but the way the voice is, it's like you're watching him in a movie and the camera is on his face at all times.
Also no, i doubt that, what Bondi is trying to do here is make a movie type atmosphere like older detective films. They distorted the voices a bit to make them sound tin canny as if you were listening to them speak in a movie.
No euphoria? I am dissapoint.
There are too many good games coming out this year. My wallet is no where near ready.
Looks nice. Is there any multiplayer?
This game looks absolutely amazing. The face scanning is GREAT, but it's not much help if the actors are bad :v:
He made it sound really challenging and I'm afraid I'll be too stupid to solve the mysteries or something.

You speak with proper grammar and punctuation. Remember this game is designed for the masses and that makes you in the top 10% on the internet. :v:
I'm sure you'll do phenomenal.
Oh god, if La Noire's pre-release trailers are anything like Red Dead Redemption's they will be fucking amazing, totally buying this.
Can't wait for this.

Time to watch endless re-runs of Lie to Me so I can tell what the fuck's going on.
Jesus christ the facial animations are amazing.
No euphoria? I am dissapoint.
I doubt they'd forgo euphoria, considering this game runs on the same engine as GTA4 and RDR
No euphoria? I am dissapoint.
What? Looked to me like euphoria was being used.
Looks nice. Is there any multiplayer?
Oh my god that would be fucking amazing.
Player A commits a crime and attempts to hide the clues and Player B tries to catch him.
I doubt that will happen though.
Jesus Christ.....those cutscenes are amazing. Skyrim please use this system.

Looks like they got good actors to me.
Looks great, just the breath of fresh air needed.
I actually thought that I was watching a movie at some points. The face system is incredible.
1:10
GTA Fence sound.
This is the game I'm most excited for in 2011.
Even more than Portal 2.
those facial animations are fucking insane!

Those aren't cutscenes, that's actual gameplay.
I think he meant the cinematics where you interact with characters and clues.
Is it going to be on pc?
