Fun fact: Australia never got the German CSS weapon pack for some fucking reason, then again our censored version was less censored than Germany iirc

I play Left 4 Dead 2 with my friends sometimes. The game is far from dead, thanks to modding support and custom campaigns.

Yeah, L4D2 is practically dead (no pun intended) by now, but it's still a lot of fun to play. Sadly it shows what happens to VALVe's games when no one is interested on working on them anymore; they're left for dead (har har) and placed in the hands of the community as they slowly die. A sad, but not unexpected fate. Unfortunately similar things could be seen for a long time (and still today) in TF2, most of the content that goes in is fan made now, with the exception of maps and a few miscellaneous items.
Too late in my opinion.

how did it never work for you? left 4 uncut was always my salvation from this shitty cut version and it always worked perfectly for me, which was a huge relief consider the previous uncensoring methods forbid online play to an extent
Better late than never. I sort of felt discouraged from playing knowing that I'm not experiencing the game as completely intended. Probably will re-install once it gets updated here.
