According to IMDB:
On the eve of the annual Scarecrow Festival, two St. Charles police officers search for a return killer the same night four teenagers go missing on Munger Road.
Ts;Dbr Film is based off of some local Illinois legend about some pisspoorly lit road that some schoolchildren got killed on (When an irresponsible bus driver stopped the bus on... Wait for it! The fucking train tracks areyoufuckingkiddingme). Supposedly the legend is that if you park a car on train tracks there and pour baby powder on the bumper that your car will get pushed off the tracks and you will have small children's handprints on your car. But none of that above isn't fucking important is it? [/blogpunch] The film is, in basic a horror thriller, and has scare tactics in it other than simply gruesomely killing off characters (Thank god, horror movies have gone to shit with overuse of gore (I'm looking at you SAW :colbert:)) So here is the trailer: (Goddamn so many local landmarks in this video that I have only known since June when I actually moved to the US, I mean seriously Hotel Baker stands out, along with the bridge next to the PD.) But anyway, this film is proof that indie film producers will always be better than ~HoLlYwOoD eDgY fIlMz~ Munger Road is currently exclusively being shown at Charlestown mall's theater in St. Charles (If you live out in Illinois go see it you lazy basement dweller!) and will be released nationwide in about a week. Saw it first day. Got lucky to get tickets. 15 different rooms at the the theater showing it, and all of them sold out. THIS MOVIE IS FUCKING AWESOME.
St. Charles is 10 min away from me, I'm gonna see this as a date movie.
for a minute i though it was another of those hand-held camera garbage movies. fortunately it' not. looks interesting...
JUMP SCARE
Just got back from seeing it. Its pretty good but its short. It was nice of them not showing much of the bad guy, gave a more scary feel to it.

I just remember their story was ghostly, but the way they delivered their story sounded like any other normal day, and just something unusual happened. A movie is one thing, but its different knowing the fact, the legend is actually out there, and almost makes part of you want to tempt trying it out for yourself. Although, since they basically filmed the movie in the same place, and the crew has not seem to have stated anything unusual happened to them while they were out there, makes me seriously wonder, but at the same time, I am way to Chicken shit to go there and and try it out myself. On an unrelated note St Charles, no disrespect, but you kind of really let Safety Town fall to sh*t, ever since you moved it all the way to the other end of the park, on the other side of the tracks. Since I don't live around there, I don't know what happened, but after this movie brings a lot more tourism to the area, you really should consider fixing it up for visitors.
