It's just so... ugly.
I'm having a hard time understanding any of this beyond lolxdimsorandum:^)
I see Bioware's animators still suck shit.
Hope for ME4 not looking terrible now gone.
Why does her voice actor completely change what she sounds like from line to line.
She sounds like some woman from the high street.
She also said "innit"

what the fuck even
so apparently keyboard + mouse sucks and the way to play the game is by using a controller.
also tactics for ai party members is dumbed down even more than they were in da2.
The most offensive thing is how fucking horrible and lazy the bow string is animated and how badly its clipping through that things entire body. Its in the first few seconds.
I mean come the fuck on, I know clipping is kind of unavoidable in the grand scheme of things and I dont usually give it shit, but thats just fucking lazy and awful.
Man I seriously can't tell if they've done good with DAI or not
I hear just as many shit things about at as I'm hearing good things and I have no idea what to think
jesus christ bioware at least try and make it less obvious

The hate crusade for this game is largely unfounded TBH.

How is it unfounded? Or are you just playing ignorant of literally everything being posted. Do you want me to post more? Cause I can:

Sure it may be nitpicking, but when you cannot even get a cutscene right, that's something.
Sure the game may look and run fairly well, but the other departments failed, horribly, like always.
also every post you have has been about DA:I. You're welcome to your opinion, but quite frankly it's wrong.
The hate crusade for this game is largely unfounded TBH.
da2 was a hot piece of garbage and mass effect turned into a dating sim game with a deus ex machina ending where no decision ever made during the trilogy ever mattered.
i tend to forgive a lot of animation bugs and clipping n stuff - most games have them, some more obvious than others (lord knows the witcher has a fuck tonne of these issues) but christ that voice acting is so awkward and the game in general is just ugly

How about all the positive reviews and every person here playing it saying it's good? Stop having such a massive hate boner for the game, "boo hoo there is an animation bug 0/10 bioware is dead".

a cutscene, yeah - one out of the thousands the mocap cleaners / animators had to sift through which gets exported and assembled entirely separately by different people also working under similar urgency
"Hey dave, remember that one scene with the bow lady drawing an arrow and shoots that clown guy or something... was the drawstring correctly accounted for when giving her that prop?"

loved how you dumbed every post except that one, which is blatantly obvious. Good job.
Of course people are going to say the games good, they spent $60 or more on it, and are in a forum section DEDICATED TO THE GAME.
I don't have a 'massive hate boner' for the game. I have legit criticism for them making poor, poor choices.
Want a list, here you go:
Poor animations.
Poor voice acting.
Poor characters.
Poor romance options.
Poor combat.
Poor graphics.
That is just some of them I can name off the top of my head, I'm sure there are more.
I will give you one thing that they did well so it seems, is that they optimized it alright, and the monsters you face seem pretty cool. That's it.
They're already reporting a low amount of sales. Get over it, Bioware did a shit job on this.

"I'm sorry, but your opinion is objectively wrong, please change it to agree with me instead."
Hate the game if you want, but don't act like a cunt towards people who like it
Is she supposed to seem... mentally challenged, or just incredibly stupid, or whatever?
Her voice keeps changing, she introduces someone or something else when nothing's there (except for a box - was she introducing cover?), and dear god her outfit is atrocious. And the whole "crush you" part.
I mean, they did have Sandal.
I know she's supposed to be stupid, but I think they went a little too far.

How about they are just really fucking shit now and almost all of what made bioware that was good has been long gone. Almost every single older team member has left and all the new people suck major ass.
Look at how shit this scene is, this is unforgivable in a fucking triple A with a huge budget and massive marketing.

The background on the page and first paragraph make him look kind of cool. This witch hunter / Van Helsing type who isn't sure whether or not he's a hypocrite.
But then the pictures with his face and the second paragraph turn him into "This world is so full of pain, because my mom said my pants look stupid. Also, I'm really sad because my hat's too big."

I must emphasize this. By default, wasd moves your character when you're in direct control mode, but a and d rotate instead of strafe, and q and e are the strafe. It's the same with moving the camera in tactical mode. Also, attacking in action mode is left click or r. You can only have 8 abilities on the hotbar at a time.
Finally, the worst offense, the AI tactics are beyond dumbed down; they're nearly completely removed. For each ability a character has access to, you have three options: Disabled, Enabled, and Preferred. Good luck letting the AI even use abilities, because it will seriously waste them all on the dumbest shit. And toggled abilities it completely fucks up with, never turning it off until they run out of mana/stamina or finish the charge into a wall or something.
The pathing is ass too, and I seriously have to micromanage the positions in tactical mode to compensate. The targeted enemy clips through the wall for a second, so everyone has to run right into his face. Or, telling a melee character to use an ability that is not a gap closer, and having them fidget around the target because it's a wide quadruped, and will probably attack way later than is helpful. There have also been times where my companions have gotten stuck a ways back and, instead of teleporting behind me like usual, stay there until I switch to them, at which point my character gets teleported to them and I have to walk back on track, likely having to fight a new group of enemies that has just spawned in my absence.
And let's not forget that, when you get on horseback, your companions actually just vanish into the shadows. Like, they get a shadowy particle effect and quickly fade into nothingness.

I've also experienced a companion taking 300 fall damage when walking across an open plain.

Why why why why would a game in 2014 have these as default binds.
a cutscene, yeah - one out of the thousands the mocap cleaners / animators had to sift through which gets exported and assembled entirely separately by different people also working under similar urgency

If you're intelligent when you're doing the mo-cap you usually have a pretty good prop to do it with. So a bow with a string wouldn't be that hard to mo-cap since we've been making them even before the fucking middle-ages so I'd hope that they'd be able to animate one correctly.
Why why why why would a game in 2014 have these as default binds.
It's very clear the PC controls were an afterthought. Menus are a lot like Skyrim pre-skyUI, except with even more categories dividing things and a lot more unresponsiveness.
nitpicking.
pointing out really obvious and bad flaws = "DAH, NITPICKING. DAAAUUUH!"
you'd think with these huge budgets and with god damn EA backing them that Bioware would afford to have some decent animations, and not something someone quickly made with a 360 Kinect in their cubicle
like seriously how can you be a AAA game studio and not even animate a living person correctly

tbh, it's pretty much standard when it comes to big RPGs like this.
When you gotta animate so many different scenes, it kinda stands to reason that each animation can't be high quality. I don't really understand this outrage about that particularly.
on the other hand
