Society hates us gamers. - General

I just wanted to move this discussion out of my other thread. The average person looks down on us gamers. To them we are mindless drooling lazy sons of bastards. We're like the homeless to them. They see us as either lazy, fat, lifeless pigs or as hardened potential serial killers. Sure we have some games that society does like, such as Guitar Hero and Wii sports, but the majority of the rest of gaming is so foreign to the rest of society that they can't help but look at it with fear and disgust. This is just the truth.

Why did you make another thread for something we already totally proved you wrong for? You're only going to get more people discussing what a moron you are now you have made a new thread. I say you should have kept all of your embarrassment to a single thread. Oh wait too late for that - there's already too many threads with rape pictures in them.

Hey, back in time movies were considered as a low-life entertainment as well. We just have to wait until people see potential in games, and I have to say we are pretty close to this moment.

Remember back when gamers were looked down on as the most pathetic people you could get? And then came the Wii. That was successful with the casual market. Now most of the people who looked down on gamers have become gamers themselves. I love irony.

I don't really think that's true anymore. I know middleaged people that play video games. These days it's such a common form of entertainment there's hardly a classification of people who are "nerds" just because they play video games. Oh, except 90% of everyone who plays WoW

For some reason all FPS games I've ever played that included an american player always ended with him "Commanding his troops in the battle of the heat", or basically raging and yelling at us not doing what he says. It's never the finnish guy with a horrible accent, or the dane who can't prenounce 90% of all words, it's always the american for some reason.
