Jesus I can't believe these tournaments exist, If i remember correctly I read somewhere they're told to smack talk as much as possible and pretty much anything is allowed. It's kind of like fights in hockey, not something that should be happening, but it's become just another part of the sport.

That way if they flip to an old quake style game their mental focus on profanity will be their downfall and winning against them without saying a thing is very rewarding. The other benefit is that they are stuck to such a fps genera, sadly the decent people who want to play COD have to put up with them.

Speaking of Quake, the people involved in those are much more mature/professional. Also I find it kind of funny, but people golf-clap in Quake live tourneys when someone gets a kill.

MLG is a fucking joke.
Doom and Quake tournaments have actual calm, mature, good sportsmen. Those Doom II tournaments at QuakeCon 2013 (or 2014, I forget) were one of the few times I've actually sat down and watched a gaming tournament. And good god, was it awesome.

I dunno, the MLG X-Games CSGO are decent and have one of the highest production quality levels I've ever seen.

It's just call of duty, has nothing to do with the tournament organizers. You never see this stuff happening with csgo mlg, or csgo in general, same with lol and dota 2.

tbh it's my fantasy to go to one of these events with my friends, and pull off a sort of large-scale goron trolling attack. like basically what we would do is play seriously and GOOD to the point where we play against a team, and the whole match would be just ridiculous shouting and playing
