Hey now, I think if it is cheap enough, and the game is good enough, that it deserves money. Case and point, Just Cause 2.
Perfect example right now would be Mafia II when the game just came out, and they're already making DLC for it, which they could have added to begin with. Developers need to get off their high horse and start actually making good games instead of Rip off pricing and DLC. This is probably why most people rather torrent than actually buying something to support.

At least right now, Metro isn't going into the Infinity Ward style over DLC
As well as Dawn of War II, all their DLC were free and new maps. They know how to make games.
Back in the good old days there were always free maps and sometimes new content, all this in just patches.

Seriously what happened to the good old days of expansion packs? It's almost all DLC now.
Dlc, expansion packs, it's sort of the same
I find valve doing a good job with dlcs, and I love bioware for its dragon age dlcs, they are not free but the dlc are fucking great
Now all they need to do is reduce the price.
Seriously i can buy this for 30aud retail at the shops, reduce price steam :)

Fallout 3's DLCs were good, but Point Lookout was amazing.
Plus repackaging them all into the GOTY edition and having a price tag of $50 for all the DLC and the game itself was a steal.
GTA IV's DLCs were 10 hours long each. Well worth the $30 asking price.
