"I'd be surprised if they're still using that truck and that trailer," a King County Sheriff's Office representative told Kotaku over the phone, "but we still want people to call if they see anybody advertising for any great deals for Wii U's on Ebay or privately, especially if there's a large quantity of them." It may be possible to track individual Wii U's and determine if they've been stolen, though we're not entirely certain how that would work. I reached out to Nintendo for more information, but a Nintendo representative pointed out that if there is an anti-theft measure, Nintendo wouldn't want to talk about it, since it would be the first thing thieves would disable. They'll probably sell them off gradually. At least he told people to keep a lookout, who knows? Maybe we'll see a funny news thread in the next week about how they got caught trying to sell all 7,000 of them on Ebay or something.

I'd imagine being ripped off. I could hardly justify buying a normal Wii now for $100 if it came with games and shit, much less the gimmick release that is the Wii U.

[editline]19th December 2012[/editline] I have had shittons of fun with nintendoland and I don't feel ripped off at all though.

If I get one, I'm going to be waiting until current Wii prices if not maybe lower. It's just so unimpressive as is.

Showing maps and inventories and stuff on the gamepad is/will be sweet instead of going through a menu. You can play some launch games completely on the gamepad without it needing to be on the TV at all from what I have seen. It's kinda sweet
