If I was to be stupidly optimistic, I would say it is a port for Halo 3 or Reach without GFWL. If I was to throw away all reason for blind hope, then I would say it would have mod support like Halo CE. :(

Chances are this is going to be some mostly promotional thing I imagine, though. The Steam groups for the Halo games gives me slight hope that it could be a port, but I'm not holding out for much.

This gives me hope for Halo 4 on PC. With the Xbox One looking like a big fat turd and Halo 3 probably selling well on PC, they might consider making Windows 8 a viable partner for Xbox exclusives. A man can dream.

Bootcamp, I wonder if that is a codename or a hint on what the game is about. Maybe you play as a Marine or ODST in training, or perhaps a Spartan other then Chief.

It helped immensely if you watched Firefly beforehand, oddly enough. The inter-character relations are easier to imagine if you know what roles the voice actors previously had. I played it first as a Halo fanboy back when it came out, before I had an appreciation for jazz music and before I had watched Firefly. I loved it then, but coming back and playing it 4 years later after picking up on the aforementioned things made it a bit of a different experience. I still kinda wish it had been longer.

Put Halo Combat Evolved, Custom Edition and Halo 2 on STEAM. Release Halo 3 in a disc without DRM and then put it on STEAM.
