I have to agree, it looks like a poor remake of that Uncharted 3 level.
Ugh for fuck sakes every Farcry looks worse and worse. Why can't we just have a second part to the story of the first one? I thought the predator shit was boss!
This man is the master at nitpicking. I'm still not sure what to think of this game. On one hand, it looks fun. On the other, it looks bleh.
I actually have hope, far cry was a diamond in the rough and was actually a really fun game with a powerful engine and gameplay mechanics, just bogged down with a horrible setting, plot, story, and characters.

Just straight up fun, nothing more.
I liked this guys mass effect and CoD videos, but holy shit this nitpicking is unbearable. I also liked how he said this'll be a game based on following NPC's, even though it's been confirmed to be an open world game.

Farcry 2 had some legitimately awesome things going for it, but was riddled with terrible gameplay and design issues that made it a fucking headache to play. They could have done so much better. I feel like they are going to drop the ball on this one too.
Also, since when were burning buildings limited to Uncharted 3? Because there aren't really any similarities between this segment and the part in uncharted, save for the fact that they both take place in burning buildings.
The guy won't shut the fuck up oh my god
He commented on the glowing ammo box the second time but not the fuck-awful quirky dialogue put in even though it's supposed to be a highly intense scene. I'd love to see if this can out-quirk Last Of Us.
Looks like another bland generic FPS. Guess I wont be getting this especially after the crappy looking multiplayer.
seenging PAIPES
Far Cry's MP has always been pretty lame except for Predator mode anyways, and the map editor
The map editor was the only redeeming point of far cry 2, and to be fair some of the stuff on it was pretty damn awesome but certainly not enough to justify the game as a whole. In this it looks like they've thrown that concept out the window and replaced it with another boring cod clone style MP.
seenging PAIPES
except these ones have wutar in dem

From the looks of it, this trailer takes you through the first section where you take control of the MC, where the gameplay actually starts rolling. I mean, as a type of tutorial level teaching the player the basic controls. There are sections where the MC playing here pauses, a perfect place for a message prompt. (i.e.: "Press <button> to melee") The girl, Lea, also mentions that "they" took someone. (Jake? Dave? Can't hear too well) If we were to look over the last trailer, there were three people who were introduced as the protagonists: Lea, Jason (the MC), and his best friend. (who quickly gets off'd by the main antagonist) All I'm saying is that this trailer is only showing the tutorial, and therefore doesn't have any real meat and potatoes to appeal to some -- mostly nitpickers like the likes of this guy who's commentating. Too long, didn't read? Don't judge a game based on it's tutorial level.

I think it looks quite good. The setpieces have always been a staple of Far Cry, and these look nice. The animations look solid and convincing. Gameplay-wise the puzzles look a bit boring and shooting a bit generic, but I think the FPS genre is getting a little stale anyway. Seriously, what was the last good singleplayer FPS anyway? At least in terms of shooting mechanics, almost all of them are identical when it comes to modern guns.
Ugh for fuck sakes every Farcry looks worse and worse. Why can't we just have a second part to the story of the first one? I thought the predator shit was boss!
No fuck that, the monster shit in the first one was fucking awful. If there's one thing FC2 did right is it didn't have any of that mutant bullshit.
No fuck that, the monster shit in the first one was fucking awful. Especially Farcry where you had to fight psychic mutants who were faster, stronger and more accurate than you, hunted in packs an used rocket launchers. I don't know how anyone could like that part of the game.

Instead of just shooting humans over and over that just stand there, or run behind scripted cover through scripted fights?
Maybe because it provided a challenge? Instead of just shooting humans over and over that just stand there, or run behind scripted cover through scripted fights?
As opposed to what, monsters that just slowly walk or run towards you?

Now games are just too easy.
look at this grass the grass is green the grass isnt animated, so the developers probably didnt make plant life animations a focus
i don't see how anyone can see anything good coming from this game. people complain that he is nitpicking, but that is obvious from the title. fp always gets way too hyped for games
As opposed to what, monsters that just slowly walk or run towards you?
Fair enough, but that was AI 6-7 years ago? I imagine they could do some pretty robust things now a days, perhaps a monster that could shape itself as an object, rock, or camouflage itself in the wilderness. They could animate it too run, dodge shots? The video game industry isn't limited, but they keep making games like it's limited.
I'm surprised he didn't bring it up, but god dayum.
