After that about 20% of the world is infected at this point all governments are in lockdown mode, Mass Quarantines, the virus is mutating and the vaccines aren't working anymore. It continues this way untill our race naturally gets immune to it and our population is down to about 20% of what it was. Nature is often about balance, When the dinosaurs where getting too strong a meteorite culled em, when early humans were around mass extinctions happened naturally, at one point there was no more than 30 human descendants on the planet. If you believe in 2012 then something you might think is that a tipping point in this flu is on 2012. After the flu stops affecting our race the world will most likely be much like it was before but unfunctional, 500 people to a city if that. Society will eventually recconect through radios and sattelites (still alive). Eventually the humans will collect in one major settlement and rebuild that way, discovery squads will slowly fan out and make the old citys livable for the population again. (However an alterior possibility to this is that they understand the mistakes of the past civilization and stay in small groups to minimize disease spreading.) I do believe when our society regains structure again it will be way more left wing about things.
