Formed in 1999, the band consists only of two members, Dave Hunt and Mick Kenney. The band has released five albums, a compilation album and an EP, the most recent release by the band being the album "In The Constellation Of The Black Widow". Their music is quite possibly the most intense music you'll ever hear, and definetly the most intense music I've heard. Don't be fooled, though, their music is much, much more than just mindless banging and screaming. After all, listen to it yourself. Their name in English sounds like it could be "Butt Death"
Love the song The Final Absolution.
Love the song The Final Absolution.
+1! "Castigation and Betrayal" is _My_ jam \m/ I friggin' love this band :D Their last album is AMAZING!
Pretty brutal band, not usually my thing but they are intelligent bunch of guys with a message and point to their lyrics, coupled with an intense live show is a winner. Not to mention they are Birmingham born and bred :)
I couldn't get into them before but the new album is awesome.
Heh, Anaal.
"The name comes from Merlin’s Charm of Making in John Boorman’s Excalibur (1981). Given Michael Everson’s transcription, Anaal Nathrakh means “serpent’s breath”." Heh. And yeah, the new album is sick.
Oh my god I love this.

Anaal Nathrakh are awesome I love how they're insanely brutal but also have really melodic, soaring choruses sometimes Clean vocals over blast beats = win
This is pretty fucking good, I can't believe I haven't heard of these guys before. I don't even like black metal usually.
Wow thumbs up this is first black metal band I've ever seen that don't look like try hard losers Will give a listen
I think Mick Kenney kinda looks like Seth Green.
This song is the soundtrack to the apocalypse.
They're cool.
been listening to these guys for 3 years...love them. such a distinctive style.
been listening to these guys for 3 years...love them. such a distinctive style.
Congradulations you were the first person on facepunch, out of your friends and everyone on this planet to ever hear them. ANYWAY.. dinstictive yes, style no. They aren't anything massively original but do add to and continue to improve their sound. Awesome live show and I love that they don't follow the stigma/stereotype that follows with the genre (for the most part). uh... you're a fag. (User was permabanned for this post ("Flaming, Not Learning" - Perfumly))
What fucking stigma is there associated with anaal Nathrakh again? i seem to have forgotten.
the "bravehat" is a fag stigma they may not think your gay but the rest of the world does
What, i don't even...
I'm wearing their shirt right now, and yes, they're earrapingly good.
When I hear kids calling Slipknot the most hardcore band ever, I regret that I don't have any Anaal Nathrakh to play.
That's why i wish i could carry an 8 string with me everywhere, and have the rest of a band nearbye with all there gear, and then we all unite. AND PLAY PRAVUS  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-pf-T2svgE
Saw these live recently in Birmingham at the Asylum. Pretty good shit.
I think these guys are the best black metal band around. That's just me though.
