I am in the process of creating a new kind of logo design company. Our goal is to create cheap and quick logo design for small businesses. I want to make the base price $5 a logo. The designers will be paid $2 a logo. So typically what I am aiming for is not "The best of the best in logo design" I just want quick nice logos. Like a Logo Assembly line. If you are interested in working with me add me on skype at ytr191. Or send me a pm. You will need - A portfolio - Some Experience in making quick nice looking logo's - Work Ethic - Must be on skype between the times of 12pm - 5pm - Paypal Account Terms Payment will be sent after the logo is completed and approved by the client.

That's all I am asking for. I just want to create a business that the "little guy" can go to when he can't afford the big time logo designers. Cheap is not what you may like, but the market loves it.
If that's all you want why not do it yourself and pocket the full $5? What you're describing isn't hard at all and you're basically undermining one of the main principles of graphic design which is not to sell yourself short.
$2 for a logo, it's simply not worth the time for most people, $2 pays for the time it takes to open illustrator/similar and not much more. Also, what's your data on "the market loves it"? Obviously every company wants to pay less for a logo but you sure they are expecting crappy logos?
I work at a UPS Store and I do all of the business cards, posters and banners and such myself. I personally charge nothing for design. The only thing I charge for are the cards and such. Although the reason I dont charge is because at the point that people come to me for a logo, they are planning on purchasing something else too. I've rarely had anyone just get a free design. I agree with everyone in the thread, a design isn't just something to throw away if they dont like. It should be worth a lot more then $2, especially if that's the only thing they're getting from you.

You guys probably would think I am insane for saying this. There is a popular marketplace on the internet that has thousands of logo designers that will make a logo for only 5 bucks.

Designers that actually have skill realize that their skill is worth more than 5$ and that they don't have time to waste for 5$ so the only people you are gonna get working for you are pre-teen amateurs who make "logos" in GIMP. Don't ask designers to whore their skills out for steam wallet funds.
Well then, sounds like you already have access to thousands of logo designers, no reason to ask here.
I am just looking to recruit logo designers who are really interested in making real money. Most Logo designers don't more than 1 job a month. I just want to help you guys out.
$2 is real.. real shit money. You aren't helping anyone out, if anyone accepts then you are harming them by making them expect lower than their skills are worth. Most logo designers do well in excess of 1 job a month if they have a good client base. I'm not even working professionally and I've worked on 3 projects (involving many single jobs within each) this month. I'm being harsh because you are clearly devaluing other peoples talent. You are asking people to be on call 5 hours out of the day. Even at minimum wage that is 50 dollars right there. You say they have to have work ethic. Yet the business plan is far from ethical. They only get paid if the logo is approved. And on top of the shitty 5$ per logo total cost, you are taking MORE than the designer who is doing all actual work.
Don't professionals ask for like, $5,000 per word/picture/logo?
You have to be quite the professional and they would have to be asking for a complete branding package. It would be hard to charge that much for just the mark.
Don't professionals ask for like, $5,000 per word/picture/logo?
not really, unless maybe if you're some ultra well-known designer and you're re-doing the identity for some big corporation. graphics designers aren't going to try and rip you off, they know small businesses are on a budget and aren't going to pay that much for so little. however if you end up having a shit-ton of luck and your $400 or so logo for some small business ends up being the branding for a major corporation (it's happened before, see nike for example) they might give you some shares in their company later on, who knows
hi i am grapics designer i take 2 indian dollars per job portfolio
Uh, do you have examples of what you'd like? I do graphic design as a hobby and want to get into commission work...
A $5 logo to me sounds like "Grab a royalty free font, open a vector program, type out name with the font and click save." There is a $5 logo that you spent $0 to make. If I had a paypal account (But don't because of personal reasons), I would be willing to help out if it was around $100 or so being that I only have a trade certificate in graphic design and not a full collage degree. You should pay depending on an artist skill, talent, and experience. Not because you are on a tight budget.
