Ok just a few hours ago, my toaster got badly burnt. Well damage beyond repair. Apparently my big brother have somehow set it on fire while trying to toast some bread.
We couldn't put the fire out with water yet because it was connected to electricity and the fire is burning the plastic so there was smoke everywhere. The smell of burnt plastic is one smell you don't want to sniff.
Of course the first thing we did was to unplug the toaster. I tried to cover the top with a damp cloth to put off the flames but the fire was already burning through the toaster. It was burning inside out.
So We drop it in into a bucket full of water and it work but if you have a burning toaster, I wouldn't recommend dropping it in a pail of water but We have no other way since we got no powder fire extinguisher.
I took a picture of the burnt toaster to show you guys how badly damage it is.

So now the toaster is totally damage. What do you think I should do with it? Attempt to repair it, send it to a recycling or just throw it away. I had that toaster since 2005. Does anyone here have face a similar experience before? Burning toaster can actually burn down your entire house. There was a news article about some guy have his table caught on fire because his toaster got burnt.

it's much harder to burn metal.
Put packages of tannerite in the slots and shoot it.
Hit with hammer, make video, discard toaster and then make another video of you shopping for a new one. (just don't burn the new one)
Combine it with three other kitchen appliances you do not plan on using to make scrap metal. You can later turn the scrap metal into refined metal which can be used to make a new toaster.

But it all seriousness (since I fail at puns) maybe you could take it apart and fix it? Build a new shell for it or something. It'd be a cool project. Maybe making it heat something different by putting things in it together. It should still work if you plug it in and use it..

To reuse it in it's current state might be a fire hazard.
I had a kettle that shit out an electrical storm because it was fucked and I kept using it.
toasters are like 20 bucks at walmart, it's easier and more time effective to buy another one.
