The beach is calm as the PLFF troops set up. they have a squad of twelve defending the beach, as well as a small task force of 8 accompanied by an Mi-24 in case anything goes south.

The germans move up.

The machine gunners on the ground are alerted to the Germans presence and one begins to open fire. While the close range of the two parties makes the soldiers LMG very accurate, both troops are in danger of being fried by the German flamethrower. The sniper in the first building calls the sight into the Commander;
Sniper: "Sir we have enemy units advancing on the beach!"
Commander: "Who is it?"
Sniper: "Ze Germans! There is seven of them, one flamer! I see a plane in the air!"

The machine gun crew starts to fall back into cover, each one giving suppressing fire to the other as they leap-frog. As the soldier with the RPG-7 changes positions to counter the plane, the loud explosion of the flamethrower was heard in the bunkers. One soldier carrying an AK-74u asks the other "What was that?"
Sniper: "Sir the flamethrower is down and our MG guys are falling back."
Commander: "Give them suppressing fire and try to take out those troops!"

The soldier falls to the ground in pain. As he looks forward, a bullet rips through his chest, killing him. The other machine gunner tries to fall back, shooting off five round bursts at the Germans. While the man taking watch on the bunker takes cover and gets out of the way for the RPG, the sniper takes a carefully aimed shot at the German in front crawling on his stomach.

The other Machine gunner falls to the ground as he is shot in the kidney. As he dies, the sniper aims for the next German in line and fires, but misses as the shot flies over his head. The RPG wielding trooper takes aim at the bi-plane and fires, but he too misses.

Isn't that sniper bullet on a direct course to hit the soldier directly behind the one the sniper aimed at?
