the picture to the right on the wall is not straight and it is pissing me off come on rubin get your shit together
The way I view it, you shouldn't have double standards especially when it comes to crimes and acts of violence. No matter the name or the face the crime is attached to, they must be judged on the weight of their crimes and punished justly under the law. We must also not spread the punishment of individuals to those who were not involved and innocent.
Cool, now perhaps you could invite on someone who disagrees with you from the liberal/progressive left for once instead of letting idiots like Dinesh D'Souza (the fact he is seen as respectable in the US conservative movement is embarassing) and random anti-feminist YouTubers run their ill-informed mouths every week

I consider the Rubin Report to be the right's version of the Young Turks, the hosts of both seem like likable guys but their shows are piles of flaming dog shit for serious discussion on anything.

Where are the systematic lies being pumped out by Rubin on a per episode basis?
the picture to the right on the wall is not straight and it is pissing me off
Well neither is he.

Also, when somebody like Dinesh D'Souza says something completely retarded (he tried to claim that the Democrats had created a new kind of slavery for African-Americans) he just nods.

Regardless of whether or not he agrees with them.
Discuss and criticise - I like to criticise ALL religions, we did it hardcore with Christianity and I think Islam could use a bit of verbal bashing without fear of getting our hands cut off or something.

Great guy, he nails the issue with the regressive left and is a walking example of how Muslims can certainly co exist with western values when integrated. I'm hoping he can make some serious gains in his mission, I feel ashamed how some fellow liberals try shutting down as some anti Muslim bigot while at the same time they defend conservative Muslims, couldn't make this shit up really.
Also, when somebody like Dinesh D'Souza says something completely retarded (he tried to claim that the Democrats had created a new kind of slavery for African-Americans) he just nods.
Also made an entire documentary where the undertone of the whole thing was that Obama wanted to become president to destroy America and live up to his fathers anti-colonial ideas. Dudes a literal propagandist for the Republicans, nothing he says should be taken at face value and it's embarassing for a liberal/moderate/whatever snowflake word Rubin uses to describe himself this week to give him a platform.
The French tried that a year ago and look how that turned out.
Is that supposed to mean that we shouldn't? Discuss Islam, even critiscise the more backwards parts of it, I can't say I really care But if you suggest intolerance of all people practising the religion is a solution you automatically become a fucking idiot and at that point anything you say is irreversibly tainted as garbage in my eyes. We don't have to tolerate Muslim interpretations of the Koran that promote violence or anything in that vein, and we don't. We are obligated to tolerate the community as a whole to show that we are not spiteful.
There's this sentiment from these arguments that I disagree with. It's the idea that by not speaking out and speaking out as often as you can against Islam that somehow it'll take over. To quote our recently elected senator, "we're at risk of being swamped by Muslims." This is ridiculous, especially for countries such as Australia and the USA. "Afraid to speak your mind today? Well, where are you going to be in 5 or 10 years?" Is this guy suggesting that by a decade it'll be illegal to say stoning people to death is bad because we haven't been protecting our freedom of speech against...progressives I guess? Or that we'll be incorporating a cresent moon in our flags by then? The reality is, it is much more terrifying to say that you are a Muslim than to say that all Muslims should be deported. I don't think that's going to change soon. When I hear Islamophobia, I don't consider that to be fear of the more brutal practises of Islam. I think those should be comdemned as much as anyone else. No, if I refer to someone as Islamophobic, it's because of their irrational fear that somehow our Western values are on the verge of being replaced by Islamic ones just because we want to accept refugees from war-torn Middle Eastern countries. You know, I bet the Jihadists say the same thing about Western ideals encrouching on their Islamic way of life.
