With a background song riff of "this is a real revolution" they couldn't have possibly made it more pretentious than it already was.
Wait, does this mean... we can play halo... on pc???
The in-game overlay thing with video highlights is pretty cool, and I'm glad they're supporting it for games that aren't even a part of the whole Xbox thing.
Considering that they actually had Steam on stage, I hope that Microsoft just embraces it as a strength and tries to integrate with it. That is, if Valve even allows it.

Actually, since you can stream any xbox one game to windows 10 PCs, you can play the master chief collection on your PC, meaning that, finally, Halo 3 is on the PC.

You can stream it to your PC from your xbone

:(
I don't have an xbox one
Isn't this basically what Valve were doing with Steamboxes, except in reverse?
of course instead of doing what everyone would actually want (putting xbone games on pc or making them playable somehow) they do the exact opposite
i dont even really get the point of this? why would i want to stream xbone to my pc when i already have an xbone to play it on, unless im missing something here because the video is really vague for me
more community/service application for PC too, like GFWL wasnt bad enough already we gotta do a GFWL 2.0

I'm guessing it's in the hope of selling xbox ones to PC gamers.
We got it, h264 encoder is now a one chip solution and generic home LAN latencies and throughput are generally high enough to push a video feed through it, now everything that can display something onto a monitor will also have to ~stream~ it onto other devices or it's not up with the times.
we can play xbox games with keyboard, i mean, that's a step closer isn't it
this is what i expected (and called)
and im pretty happy now.

does this mean xbox pirated games on PC?
[sp]someone has to ask[/sp] :v:
Isn't this basically what Valve were doing with Steamboxes, except in reverse?
Sort of. Valve wants you to put a steam computer in your living room, microsoft wants you to be able to play your xbox one games from your computer
does this mean xbox pirated games on PC?

No. You're just controlling the xbox from your PC like any other streaming service or remote desktop. You're not going to be able to run any programs on it from your computer or anything past sending controller feedback to it afaik
we can play xbox games with keyboard, i mean, that's a step closer isn't it
Where are you getting that from?
we can play xbox games with keyboard, i mean, that's a step closer isn't it
Doubt that will happen, they only seem to show the mouse and keyboard for the UI/friends list/video editing
Where are you getting that from?
It shows a keyboard at 0:22 while playing Halo
It shows a keyboard at 0:22 while playing Halo
That's a laptop.....
It shows a keyboard at 0:22 while playing Halo
With a powered on Xbox One controller.
That's a laptop.....
Wow im fucking blind holy shit
what a title..
For a moment I thought they were actually letting you run Xbox games standalone with a PC. But if all it does is stream, then meh..
Well that title was horribly misleading...
To be fair, Microsoft does deserve all the flak it gets for calling its browser Spartan, its personal assistant Cortana and then not releasing Halo for the PC.
/g/ seemed to be running wild.
why the fuck would you go out your way to play the expensive, crap xbox minecraft instead of the version on the PC?
For the entire video I was praying for them to show "And use your mouse/keyboard as a controller"
c'maaaaan
So... this is basicly just the Playstation's "Remote Play" function on PC?
That isn't much, that's pretty much bugger all.
Now that Microsoft has blurred the line between the console gamer and the PC masterrace, how will we continue to lord our superiority over them?
