The agents, whom the Daily Beast reports Mueller has great respect for, exclusively focus on financial crimes such as tax evasion and money laundering. The IRS has access to Trump's tax returns, which he has refused to release to the public.
original source, which couldnt be used due to FP's "Not center left to right = no" rule (washington examiner is center-right): http://www.thedailybeast.com/exclusive-mueller-enlists-the-irs-for-his-trump-russia-investigation
Criminal Investigations Unit. Jesus Trump is screwed.
Ah, it's getting closer every day. So close you can almost taste it.
you know what they say, you can't hide from the IRS
Are we sure it isn't the IRS Counter-Intelligence Probes Unit? :v: But seriously, I fully expect Trump to "innocently" ask aides or White House lawyers about firing Mueller in the next week. Trump drew a bright red line on "stay out of my personal finances" and here Mueller is asking the IRS to stick their nose into the tax returns he is deadly afraid of revealing. And let's remember that this comes after Mueller's boys raided Manafort's place and the nature of the raid suggests they were concerned that he might try to destroy evidence. The CIU focus on things like tax evasion and money laundering. Manafort may be facing unpardonable state money laundering charges. I'm sure that it is a total coincidence that since Trump's candidacy, and continuing after his inauguration, millions of dollars in Trump properties have been sold to undisclosed buyers, a loophole that practically advertises itself as tailor-made for money-laundering. Hail to the Thief
You done fucked up now Trump. The IRS is the single most fearsome part of the US Federal Government. Murdered someone? They don't care. Racketeering? Eh. Use your money to produce and star in sadomasochistic child pornography? Not their problem. Misfiled your 1040-X back in 1997? You crossed the wrong government, motherfucker
Jesus christ every day is like gee whiz I wonder for what reason he'd get them involved. Next week: Mueller enlists Department of Investigating People Who Do Weird Things With Pee.

Talk to>Joker, Use>Money, Examine>Harley
The IRS took down Al Capone. And he was one slick fucker.
Mueller is on a fucking rampage. :v:
Ah, it's getting closer every day. So close you can almost taste it.
Says the increasingly nervous man for the 50th time this year.

Trump's recent search history "how do I fire the irs"
I wonder just how big Mueller's full investigation is at this point. With all the people he keeps roping into help it has to be one of the biggest investigations in American history by now.
From counter-intelligence to financial crime, Mueller and this investigation really have come a long, long way. I hope the IRS can help him close things down for good.
From counter-intelligence to financial crime, Mueller and this investigation really have come a long, long way. I hope the IRS can help him close things down for good.
It was not a fucking counter-intelligence probe.
I wonder just how big Mueller's full investigation is at this point. With all the people he keeps roping into help it has to be one of the biggest investigations in American history by now.
Plot twist: Mueller will be the man to ultimately Drain The Swamp.
It was not a fucking counter-intelligence probe.
At this point talking to him is like trying to explain things to a brick wall
From counter-intelligence
shut the fuck up (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Mezzokoko))
Plot twist: Mueller will be the man to ultimately Drain The Swamp.
It's like our world is written like a novel and this is the ironic twist end to Trump's legacy His original promise is fulfilled by him and his associates being removed from office [editline]1st September 2017[/editline] Imagine the catharsis of this, though
Not just the IRS but their fucking criminal investigations unit. I doubt I'm gonna see any news pop up today that makes me happier.
I will be absolutely stunned if Trump doesn't shit himself and try to fire Mueller at some point
I hope the IRS can help him close things down for good.
You do know that that would almost certainly result in your beloved president being jailed, right? Probably not for the tax-stuff, but all the other shit that's been going on.
From counter-intelligence
Do you get paid to post this here?
There's two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Chonch
counter-intelligence
You know, it's healthy to criticize the president and administration. In fact, it's healthy to do so for a democracy. You don't have to support everything he does...
one thing that does strike me is that meuller's probe has been unusually airtight, which is good both for investigating and to absolutely avoid charges of being overtly political, its only in the last few weeks we have seen suspiciously scandalous leaks to the public, which themselves seem to be targeting conspirators with the message that the pain train is imminent. he might be just one piece of evidence away from breaking the case open, or he might already have everything he needs to prove something and is just building a larger and larger case, one which impeachment would require
Oh boy, Trump is probably going to rage about this. But his claim that his tax records are under audit, might become reality now. The irony :v:
Counter-intelligence
Will you provide a solid reasoning and actual sources to your claim or are you gonna leave that proposition here as another borderline bait-shitpost?
From counter-intelligence to financial crime, Mueller and this investigation really have come a long, long way. I hope the IRS can help him close things down for good.
This is going to just be one of those drive-by posts that never actually get explained, isn't it?
