Sometimes, I’d just like to have a day in which I don’t have to know how many angry, crazy people are out there. But today, let’s talk about the death threats leveled against a 5-year-old.
Mia Talerico is the titular Charlie of the Disney Channel’s family sitcom “Good Luck Charlie.” Until recently, the show, which ends its four-year run later this month, was most famous for launching Bridgit Mendler into stardom. (If you have little girls in your life, that last sentence makes sense.) But in January, it made headlines for introducing the network’s first gay couple – as the mothers of one of Charlie’s young playmates. As a Disney spokesperson explained last year, “Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness.” Disney has long been a supporter of gay and lesbian families, encouraging “Gay Days” at their theme parks, and including gay characters in movies like “Frozen.”

Naturally, the appearance of two women and a child depicted as a normal and functioning American family outraged all the usual arch-conservative clowns, including the perennially furious One Million Moms, who’ve accused the network of “plans to corrupt the children’s network with LGBT content.” But along with the usual homophobic pouting, the show’s gay characters have inspired a scary level of vitriol against one of its youngest stars. The Los Angeles Police Department confirms that its Threat Management Unit is investigating “death threats and other harassing messages” toward Talerico. As TMZ reports, messages on Talerico’s Instagram have included “Die Mia, F**king Die in hell! Kill yourself, you deserve to die,” and “a picture of Mia’s head with a bloody fist covering it… with this message, ‘Yes, kill you stupid bitch.’”
Fucking savages.
for fuck shacks she's FUCKING FIVE
The death-threat senders are more childish than the girl.
and including gay characters in movies like “Frozen.”
Wait, who was gay in that movie? Olaf?
ya that'll teach her to corrupt other children with lesbien values! i mean she won't understand for at least another 6-7 years BUT SHE IS STILL AT FAULT!
fucking crazy people out there.....
First death threats to the creator of Flappy Bird, now this?
Wow. I knew there were stupid people in the world, but I didn't think they'd be THIS stupid.
Hello, reality, I'd like a good old Facepunch idiot cull, applied against all TV viewers. No tears for the culled, they were warned several times before walking into the mulcher.
Wait, who was gay in that movie? Olaf?
Oaken
i almost laughed in disbelief when i first read it
it is very hard for me to believe that any of these people actually believe the things they're saying to the girl. they're absolutely ridiculous.
This actually manages to be even worse than when the lady that played Skylar White or the kid that played Joffrey got rape/death/etc threats
Something that's a bit wrong in the title: the girl getting threats isn't even the one playing the lesbian couple's kid, she's just the title character of the show.
That makes this even more absurd, if that's possible.
What? This is fucking ludicrous. Lol. These people are making death threats to a Five year old.
Any HALF-SAPIENT human being would refrain from doing this.
I have no words. Sending death threats to a 5-year old girl? What type of sick freak does that?
Let's send death threats to the people that send death threats to 5-year olds.
Oaken
I didn't even realize this.
Let's send death threats to the people that send death threats to 5-year olds.
Let's send them court summonings instead.
Smells a little fishy.
Smells a little fishy.
Dude.
She's fucking five.
Dude.
She's fucking five.
Oh, unintentional pun. I'm just wondering if some conservative blog posted about her and people didn't read past the cut. Who threatens a five year old?
I'm okay with this. It's clearly the girl's fault for intentionally pushing the gay agenda onto kids anyway.

The clip in question
I think the best part about this is that these kinds of people are the same ones who try to suggest that all homosexuals are evil.
[editline]10th February 2014[/editline]
Actually, no, there's no 'best part' about this because it's totally fucked up. SHE'S FIVE YEARS OLD, jesus christ.

holy shit that was just weird as fuck sounding
i swear, a lot of reality tv shows creep me out
What type of sick freak does that?
People tend to do stupid shit when they think they don't get tracked. Yes, prank calls have a big difference between death threats to a kid, but the point is same.
I didn't even realize this.
That's good characterisation. Sexuality shouldn't be a big deal. If you start defining your characters by some kind of topical trait, they'll more often turn out flat and annoying. It only really works if you're playing it for laughs.
Death threats. To a girl who is FIVE years old.
Ladies and gents, I think we've officially found the lowest of the low.
I'm seeing more news on older people picking on young kids.
Something about that makes me fuckng rage.
the real problem is the way they're using canned laughter. why would any normal human being laugh at the girl running over to the other girl after she calls her over. that's like finding it hilarious when someone ordinarily closes a microwave.
