They don't call it a death loop for nothing. This guy really should have thought about that before.
Because attempting a trick called a "Death loop" is a super smart idea and would have no consequences what so ever.
Cool if he did it. Sad face
Takes some serious balls to do that.
Hey, we get to use the Belarus emote. :belarus:
Man that guy was good, what a shame.
I guess they don't call it a Death Loop For nothing
Death loop lead to death loop lead to death loop lead to death loop
Death loop lead to death loop lead to death loop lead to death loop
PARADOX :byodood: /caps

well at least he died being awesome.
They don't call it a death loop for nothing. This guy really should have thought about that before.
You say that like it was some kid learning to fly helicopters for a few days trying it... The guy was a top pilot. I'm sure he knew damn well the risks involved.
Ah damn, after watching the video I've got to say it seemed like it was going pretty good until a few seconds mid-flip
Doing a loop in a plane is hard. I can't even imagine how hard it must be to do a loop in a Helicopter. Though he did go out as a badass. It looked like he was recovering right before he hit the ground too.
He would have made it if he was a bit higher from the ground
when he was going down why didnt hell pull up when the dam heli was looking at the ground it seemed to me he blacked out for like a second. [editline]10:03PM[/editline] Oh that explains it hes 74 years old. So yea he probably blacked out.

He knew what he was doing, he just must have had some shitty luck.
I've seen this done live before. In fact, the annual Airshow is 3 weeks from this Sunday, so I'll be seeing it done again. The Blue Angels are going to be there.
Thats pretty sad, he had quite a bit legacy after all

Tragic.
I guess they don't call it a Death Loop For nothing
i fucking love you zeke
Can someone look and tell me that's NOT the pilot on the ground at the front of the wreckage at about 2:17...because that's what it looks like to me.
doing a loop in a plane isnt particularly hard unless we're talking about a boeing 747 here
Obviously you've never flown a plane. Do you have any idea what kind of g-forces the pilot is under during an intense maneuver like that? You'll know what I mean if you go to an amusment park and ride one of the larger roller-coasters.
he should have gone up higher before starting it.
They don't call it a death loop for nothing. This guy really should have thought about that before.
He probably did and then realized that if he could pull it off he would totally get laid.
Maybe he was dying soon so he thought he might as well go out in the most badass way possible.
