He went outside after one rocket had just landed nearby. He was unfortunate however as another rocket crashed into a much closer house as he went outside. The shockwave would have damaged the camera and disrupted filming meaning he had no choice. He might have even accidentally turned it off when he got blown over. There's just as many reasons for it to end there as it is to keep going.

I doubt Qassams make a firey explosion unless they land on something special. If it just hit the roof of the house I see no reason for an explosion.
