David Cameron 'told EU migration target was impossible four years ago'

So one of Cameron's main manifesto pledges was a lie.
Steve Hilton was not only an aide but a friend of David Cameron.
I watched Cameron on Question Time this week and he has got to be the most evasive politician in history.
How anyone feels he can be trusted on anything is beyond me.

All that stuff about "open source democracy" and transparency were lies as well.
Basically he and his party are a bunch of liars, you'd have to be a liar to have their agenda and still court the votes of the common person.
sure the manifesto pledge was bollocks, but blaming it on the eu is stupid because you're just putting the blame for his stupidly unfeasible target setting onto something else, when really even out the eu a target like that would be near impossible to hit.

I don't think the issue is whether the EU are to blame, nobody has suggested that it is, the issue is that Cameron was told that it wasn't possible to reduce immigration to his proposed targets.
He knowingly pledged something that was not possible to enable him to win an election.
In fact it was a manifesto promise which has since been downgraded to a pledge.
