I am really exited for this game
Looks like an awesome game.
Won't be long before people start rushing in to say "TB IS SHIT AND HERE IS WHY" so they can feel satisfied that every single thread mentioning him has their opinion noted down for all to see.
I really think Flying Wild Hog did a fairly good job with Hard Reset, but this looks like it will be the Painkiller game many people wanted

But there is nothing else. There currently are no good new Arena type shooters coming out and besides Arma tactical shooters are dead. Everything is better than the current modern military shooter trend.

I think what this post is trying to say is that a lot of these revivals simply suck. If there'd be a good one, then it'd be no problem at all.
Holy shit I fucking love how they brought back the diagonal slice from the original.
Almost all I remember from the last time I played Shadow Warrior is slicing enemies and watching the upper parts of their body slide off

Did the Rise of the Triad remake suck? What about Hard Reset? Painkiller? Serious Sam? And this looks like it'll be brilliant as well.

Well in the original it summoned a copy of you to fight with you so I assume that's what it does, and judging by the video if TB activated it, he would be yelling and his head would explode by how awesome he thinks the game is :v:

They're revivals of the old-school shooter genre, though. FPS games back when they weren't movies with gameplay in 15 minute increments attached.
This looks fun as hell, the thing with TB is usually when he says a game is good, that's because it really is good.
Any game that has a gore system like this is an insta-buy for me as long as the game itself isn't really bad.
Speaking of sword play games I want to play Dark Messiah again but I can't, steam or disc version crash constantly on loading the third level.
Oh man this looks way better than I thought it would be.
The map looks very similar to one of the maps in Tenchu Z, that's pretty cool.

Rise of the Triad had a lot of muddy browns that made killing long range enemies annoying as shit at times. Hard Reset didn't have enough variety in enemies or weapons. Only the first Painkiller was any good then it got a few DLC things which had terrible level design. Serious Sam was good, though it's multiplayer sucked.
Of all the old school shooter reboot/re-imagining/revengence games Shadow Warrior looks the best IMO, none of the weapons look weak, the enemies are interesting, it incorporates new ideas to enhance the old style rather than mirroring shooters from 1998 exactly, and it has a sword that cuts people to pieces. None of those other games sucked but they all had some glaring flaws.
Oh freaking jesus this looks fun. I even stopped watching when he started showing all guns because I don't want to spoil myself, that shotgun proved that the game will be fun enough, and jesus fuck that melee combat. What I fear now is that I'll forget about it before it's released.
