What a psychological thriller.
His reactions are pretty fucking great :v: [editline]8th May 2012[/editline] ADSMSDOFSDFK [editline]8th May 2012[/editline] The uhhhhh Brits don't like taking chances do they? :v:
I got the feeling he was questioning what was going on, not because the game is meant to confuse you but because he thinks its a bad game BECAUSE it's confusing. otherwise i thought he was overreacting throughout the whole video :\
He liked the game if you follow is twitter, he just thinks it's strange. You're not getting the messages he's putting in, I understood them perfectly. But then again I've been watching his videos for years.
fkin scrub bad graphix indie gaem!!1 I'll be honest though, this game feels cliche with the way it tries scares you. Not to mention that there seems to always be a way out of things.
If there wasn't a way out, you'd lose wouldn't you? I don't think people would like a game where you can never win.
Looks like a pretty cool game, to be honest. Gotta say though, the first time I saw it, I thought the protagonist's mask was a big toothy smile, and it made it a lot more unsettling for me. Like he was always happy, to the extent of it being outright creepy, even during the end of the world.
THERE WAS NO JAZZ AT ALL NO JAZZ AT AAAALLLL
Just a small fyi, a let's play is playing through a game that you know shit about and give information about trivia, enemies, bosses, etc (chuggaconroy does this pretty well if I remember right, just think he's a bit too annoying), while a playthrough is doing a game blind, like this :v: And it's not a review either, it's a first impressions, tb himself has said this thousands of fucking times by now. And there were indeed no jazz at all.
Well then he needs to do a full playthrough :v:
Silent Hill 2d. I mean there's homages but this is kinda pushing that to the limits.
He turns into a goddamn grinning ninja when he takes cover.
Indubitably influenced by Silent Hill. Seems like intriguingly creepy.
I need this game for reasons.

I honestly thought it was a smile this whole time.
The developer of this stated that the game is inspired by mostly two things: 1. Silent Hill 2. His actual experiences working on the game in its 4 or so year dev cycle (cycle of depression, getting extreme anxiety from coffee, being nearly broke, etc) There's a neat little 1-on-1 interview/talk session he did for Sup Holmes? on Dtoid for interested parties: http://www.destructoid.com/sup-holmes-talking-survival-horror-with-jasper-byrne-226649.phtml (its 1hr long though) The dev for this is the most humble motherfucker ever
If there wasn't a way out, you'd lose wouldn't you? I don't think people would like a game where you can never win.
Well there are a lot of roguelikes, some you can't win. [editline]8th May 2012[/editline] Why are these youtube let's plays so bad at the game? I mean even if it's your first time playing it, you'd learn what to do and pick up tricks intuitively.

I mean even if it's your first time playing it, you'd learn what to do and pick up tricks intuitively.
I think TB is more of an RTS and RPG kind of gamer. And in all fairness combat is really quite clunky, since you can only aim in three directions, only one of which your enemy is likely to be in without it getting up in your face. And I would recommend getting this game for people on the fence. It's pretty frightening even if atmosphere isn't usually what gets you, and it's got a very unnervingly surreal and existential nature to it.
NO JAZZ AT ALL!
