Anyone been to see Jimmy Carr's Rapier Wit tour yet? I saw it tonight in Wolverhampton, it was hilarious. I'm not going to quote his jokes as that would be pretty retarded and may ruin the experience for those of you with tickets for other venues.
He's a retard
He's just one-liners. I mean they're great but you'd want some variety.
Lee Evans is better.
or you could just read a joke book. His comedy has almost no personal element
Jimmy Carr is fucking terrible
JJim Cary is bruce allmighty, jimmy Carr is the one who does 8 out of 10 cats, amirite?
I hate that guy
I can't stand him :( I prefer Eddie Izzard
And Frankie Boyle
Eurgh
Bill Hicks is where its at. And Frankie Boyle
whos jimmy carr? am i better off not knowing?
ohhh Jim Carrey?
Lee Evans is better.
I don't mind Lee Evans, his voice annoys me but he can be pretty funny.
Bill Hicks is where its at.
Bill Hicks is amazing. Also, George Carlin is fucking epic.
Lee Evans is better.
I rated you agree :3: He lives about 10 minutes walk from me and I saw him in waitrose once. And I saw his BIG tour for my16th :3:
Jimmy Carr is terrible, Bill Bailey for life
Bill Bailey all the way.
Lee Evans is better.
yeah if you're twelve years old and the funniest thing is high pitched screaming
George Carlin was, and will always be, the funniest comic ever.
Jimmy Carr is a twat
I've gone off him after he made that "joke" about wounded soldiers
Fuck your Carr
Jimmy Carr's pretty funny in small doses, but like most comedians his shtick will wear off if you sit there trying to watch all his stuff back to back He's a character, he's not a smug dickweed in real life, it's his show
I've gone off him after he made that "joke" about wounded soldiers
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/nov/08/david-mitchell-comedy without comedy there is only boredom
He's funny but I really don't like him.
I'm sorry, but Lee Mack and Stewart Francis are better.
Jimmy Carr worked to become famous then woke up one day and said, "Now that I'm here, I may as well just spout chains of one-liners. That will work!" He's not been overly funny since.
Bill Hicks is amazing. Also, George Carlin is fucking epic.
Richard Pryor, too.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/nov/08/david-mitchell-comedy without comedy there is only boredom
It wasn't that I was offended by the joke, it was just it sort of compounds the Jimmy Carr persona for me. He says a bunch of vaguely controversial one liners that aren't terribly funny. Up till then I was still giving him a chance because occasionally he says something amusing, but it doesn't seem like it's worth the effort. Leading on from this, David Mictchell's quip: "There is absolutely no truth in the rumour that the last line in Anne Frank's diary reads: 'Today is my birthday and my dad bought me a drum kit" is hilarious.
Billy Bailey is a genius and so very musically talented. <3 [editline]09:20PM[/editline] His comedy is almost like Sean Lock's.
I've gone off him after he made that "joke" about wounded soldiers
The media took it completely out of context
