it isn't a anime it's a visual novel it's basically like a interactive book

The game is a visual novel. The video in the OP isn't the first to implement still images as a movie. The same can be said for the Clannad opening which I think is done very well. This was made back in early 2004.

But there other visual novels such as Fate/Stay Night that use full animation as an opening sequence. This was made in again in the begining of 2004.

(As a note the singing gets terrible half way through which is the only minus).
And lastly there can be 3D animations included as seen in Ever 17 -Out of the Infinity-'s opening sequence. This was made back in August 2002 so don't expect the graphics to be on par with Crysis.
