http://www.jimihendrix.com/us/home The new album "Valleys of Neptune," which is made up of studio recordings that Jimi Hendrix made in 1969 and 1970 (after completing "Electric Ladyland") was released on March 9. The disc was completed with the help of Hendrix's longtime engineer Eddie Kramer and includes Hendrix's last studio recordings with the Jimi Hendrix Experience group, plus recordings with bassist Billy Cox who performed on the "Band of Gypsies" album. The disc will also include the track "Mr. Bad Luck," which was recorded in 1967. Most of the music has been released in other forms (some only in bootleg), but this is the first official release of the music in this form. Track Listing 1. I know this sounds retarded, but I had never listen to Hendrix before this and all I can say is... :awesome:
I'm still waiting for the Album he did with Stephen Stills. But this will hold me over :P There was an awesome recording leaked from the upcoming Stills/Hendrix album on youtube but I guess they pulled it down.
I was surprised at how much I liked this album. Normally when I hear Hendrix I just say to myself "oh god, not this guy again"
Normally when I hear Hendrix I just say to myself "oh god, not this guy again"
Wow, seriously?
To a degree, yeah. He's just been so overplayed around me that I think I've had my fill of shit like Fire and The Wind Cries Mary
I guess that's understandable. Same thing could apply for the Beatles, even though they are amazing.
Hey what about First rays of the New Rising sun, that was released in 1997...
Pretty awesome album, but not the first in 40 years
