Many people have heard of the special day "Opposite day" that some person calls out and it magically turns every statement that day backwards. This is childish and foolish, so instead of laughing because someone said "I hate you" to another kid I would think about opposite day.
Theory:
By saying it is opposite day, it is declaring that the [i]whole[/i] day is opposite day. This includes past, present, and future. So by saying it is opposite day, it is the opposite of opposite day so it was never really opposite day. So now no one can ever say: "I hate you" and theoretically get away with it.

If someone claims it's opposite day, if it was opposite day by them saying it was opposite day it would infact mean it is NOT opposite day.

You can't really know if it's opposite day, because if you ask "Is it opposite day?", a no means yes, and yes means no. But if it's not opposite day, a no means no, so basically you can't decide.
