Good I wouldn't want the last airbender (movie) to be the last thing avatar fans get to watch. So any exact premier date set yet?
The artwork is amazing.
Finally!
Republic City looks awesome.
My initial reaction to this: I honestly can't wait for this. Nickelodeon is actually releasing a show nowadays that I would actually want to watch.
I expect a LOT from this, the last Avatar was an amazing story, cartoon, and great for anyone.
I was discussing this with a friend the other night and he mentioned that the police in the series uses Toph's metal bending to apprehend criminals and Korra knows all the bending elements at the start of the series but has to go look for Aang's eldest son who's the only that knows Airbending. He only said he read this shit but he's trustworthy so if anyone can confirm this then that would make my excitement for this ten times more
This looks so awesome

And Korra only shows Fire bending and Waterbending, but not any other elements in that trailer.
It seems to have some sorta steampunk thing with it aswell
I really need to rewatch the first series
2 Generations and you get modern day San Francisco? That blows my mind.
Wait. I thought The Last Airbender was like a feudal Japan kind of Era? What happened? I don't really know much about the show.
2 Generations and you get modern day San Francisco? That blows my mind.
well considering they can manipulate their world in such a way that massive structures could be built with ease, i'm surprised that they haven't advanced further.
Wait. I thought The Last Airbender was like a feudal Japan kind of Era? What happened? this is going to be amazing. the last airbender was probably my favourite animated series ever.

I remember some Native American tribe using Sokka's club in my English book last year.
But if she is the avatar, that means ang is..... D:
Very impressive! I always liked the original series.
But if she is the avatar, that means ang is..... D:
spirit aang
After the conclusion of the War, Aang and Zuko brought people from the four nations together and founded United Republic, a large "metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology" such as cars and motorcycles.[3] Aang and Katara had three children, the youngest (and only Airbender) of which is Tenzin. Meanwhile, Toph Bei Fong traveled extensively to teach Metalbending. After Aang's death, the next Avatar, Korra, was born to the Southern Water Tribe. At the present time 70 years after the end of the War, Korra is a rebellious 16-year-old girl.[2][1] As the Avatar, she has already mastered Waterbending, Earthbending and Firebending. She will learn Airbending from Aang and Katara's son Tenzin.[3][4] Tenzin himself is married; Pema is his wife. Jinora, a "bookworm", and Ikki, a "motor-mouth", are his daughters while Meelo, his youngest child, is his son.[5] The primary and only confirmed setting is United Republic. Anti-benders called "Equalists", who oppose the art of bending, utilize techniques such as chi-blocking to further their goals of revolution, led by Oman.[3] Korra must fight rampant crime and the anti-bender revolt, assisted by two brothers, Mako, a Firebender, and Bolin, an Earthbender. She is also joined by her animal guide, Naga, and the Metalbending police force of United Republic, who are led by Toph's daughter.[5]
Googled from a wiki
Googled from a wiki
So a police force leads what are effectively para-military warriors to crush a local uprising?
I would have watched the original Avatar if it was more mature but it had a good idea going. Maybe this show will appeal to a wider audience.
Wait what happened to airbending?
Wait what happened to airbending?
I think it died out with Aang.
This guy looks badass.
I think it died out with Aang.
Read the thread, he passed it to his son.
I would have watched the original Avatar if it was more mature
For a nickeloden cartoon it was extremely mature. [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] Also it got more mature as the series went on.
