Try and point out the wackiest shit someone said by twisting what they intend to say.
Though Rick Perry is a dumb ass, truly.

I don't care about Libya... nor know about it.
I'm far more concerned with whats on American soil than oversee's right now.
Though "What is New Mexico is it a state or a country?"
How does anyone get that wrong... I guarantee they asked that 50 times until they got that answer. They're using a Steven Colbert comedy tactic.
To be fair I can never remember Mahmoud Ahmadinejad name nor being capable to pronounce most Arabic words in general, but that might be due to my dyslexia. Seriously, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad looks like someone just smashed the keyboard and took what came up to me.

we've been spending tons of money from no where on jack shit and getting no where at all with it for a pretty long time now. I'm tired for hearing that we are doing that.
Do you really think I want to keep hearing that over and over? Of course I'm concerned over the wars, but I'm sick of it. America is trying to solve issues of people they can't and they can't even fix their own issues.

Apparently not you.
I mean, who really cares if thousands of people died and your country spent billions in order to overthrow a bloodthirsty dictator who we've been allies with for years and torturing his citizens. Not like it would hurt to know anything about that or be able to know where that is in the world or anything.
You're really no better than those people who can't tell if New Mexico is a state or a country.

No one shuns protesters besides the government, both the right and the left have had significant protests through Occupy and the Tea Party.
And you should, because we're spending money on it and it's very important economically and politically, both in the region and here at home.
I think that you should consider the fact that those in office are elected in and they require your support to continue to be elected, and that they care about the general opinions of the populace. You are only one voice but collectively those voices determine who does what in government and internationally. Your individuality is no excuse for ignorance. Ignorance is what allows shit like NDAA and SOPA to get passed and nations like Afghanistan and Iraq invaded, because the people are too stupid to know where those are or give a shit about war and what happens overseas.
If you really choose to be a blissfully ignorant fucker than you deserve whatever the powers-that-be do to you.

Except I stated I'm more concerned in domestic affairs (Like NDAA and Sopa). And I never said I completely ignored countries to be invaded, chill the fuck out, I don't want to hear about the war themselves, because I don't support it in the first place, and because it's pointless to listen to the same god damn story of "SPENDING MORE" on this war. Obviously I know about the wars, but do I really give a fuck about them? No, we need to stop with the war, it's getting really old, we just need to end it. I'm not listening to how more people died or how we've spend X more, because I already know it's too far by now.
Not only that, but I possibly don't plan on voting this year, I already know the candidates are all fucked in the head, and all it comes down to is voting for someone with fucked up beliefs or doesn't actually believe what they're saying.

Just because a government does something does not require the citizen belonging to that government to know. America is a big place, the outside world of news is more or less irrelevant unless its someone big (but even then its not really required unless a direct threat).

After all.. theres tons of domestic things you have to worry about really. Worrying too much about outside issues distracts you from the bigger ones. Do I give a fuck what Libya is? No! Should we be nosing in other countries and spending a shit-ton of money on nothing? Obviously no.
Why should I care about Libya when I have the possibility of having my very rights striped by SOPA all because of greedy interests? Do you really expect me to be more concerned about some poor ass than a country I live in presently?
Well I guess I don't know about any of these things because Russia Today says I don't care
Thanks fuckers
Now show us the hundreds of people they interviewed who weren't under a rock.

My question is that if you don't listen to it, then how do you know? The war itself matters more than just its affect here, too, you know.
And there are third parties.

It doesn't require, but it is a responsibility.
A war in Libya and a potentially upcoming war in Iran is big news. I'm not saying know every little detail of everything, but at least give a shit, at least know about it, at least have some sort of idea and plan and opinion on the matter, and don't just ignore it or brush it off because it doesn't affect you or your country directly (which these do).
America is a big place and it is the largest player of everything in everything in the world, and those decisions are made by elected officials who do so with the approval of their constituents- you and me and everyone. Well, not you, because you're in the UK, but Americans.
And while this video may seem outlandish, it really isn't. Trying to talk to most people about a current topic involving the military or politics will get you just as many responses as in this video as informed ones, or at last that's always been my experience. All the more importance for people to be aware and care about the issue, because if they really don't and really choose to know little or nothing then bad things happen.

Because Libya is directly tied to that, because Libya affects you, because you are responsible for Libya in that you are a constituent with a vote and a voice whose responsibility it is to influence your elected officials into not bombing countries that you don't support bombing.
The world isn't all about you and your nation, especially when your nation, our nation, is the one shaping the world, primarily through violence.

Its really not.
Why do I have to know? Its not my responsibility, I didn't say we should go to war here or be involved in some scandal there - I'm not bound to this nation and I don't have to learn the latest gossip if I don't want to. Even though I do learn about it because politics is a interest of mine, I don't expect everyone else should know.
Things like this don't show intelligence but more of a memory capability.

It is. If you choose to take part in politics or the economy at any level, then you are influencing your elected officials, your government, and your populace, who in turn influence the events in the world. If you choose to go to some other nation, then you have a responsibility there, too. It's not gossip, it's a matter of life and death for people, for liberty or tyranny, or for stability and integrity. What people don't realize is that all of this stuff does affect them. A war that costs 5000 lives and 3 trillion dollars will raise your taxes, threaten a draft and cut your liberties. An intervention that costs 8 billion dollars and puts an entire country's liberty and security up for grabs, as well as their large oil reserves affects the global economy, international relation, and millions of lives. I would think that people would want to influence what rules over them, as well as what rules over others, and the things that cause them to happen.
The people who went "Mubarankakriazta" and made up fake middle eastern names pissed me off.
Did you like not listen to me being against it but not giving that big of a damn or not?

now you're assuming those people in the video where interested or have an active life in political affairs.
having a business in the economy means I have to care about who a government declares war on? No it doesn't. You think information regarding war or 'whats the name of this guy in the middle east' is a requirement to live in a country when it is isn't. The entire US population isn't to blame for their government and is not required to know what they are doing, nor is it a responsibility. Responsibility is the ability or authority to act or decide on one's own, without supervision. If their decision is to not bother to learn the internal or external affairs of the government then so be it, fuck you if you tell me or anyone else what we should or should not know - do or not do.

Yes it does. I'm wondering if you've ever actually been part of a business, or even a consumer, because if so you'd very well know that prices are affected by our foreign affairs, especially war, and especially war in the middle east/north Africa, which affects the prices of petrol and transport immensely down to the average consumer level. Taxes increase during wartime, especially taxes on small businesses and property owners.
It's not a requirement, I've already said this- it's a responsibility. I've gone over this, you can read it again.
Yes we are responsible for the government, unless it takes action without our consent, that is, in a non-democracy/republic. You can choose not to act on that responsibility to take care of yourself through affecting your governing body and its authority and action, but then when you get fucked in the ass then that's your fault as well. You can't have it both ways- that we shouldn't be informed and acting on our governing bodies, and that we are not responsible for the government's actions.
but if that's the way you think, I'm sure you'll be fine with America coming over to your nation and ejaculating all over your populace, and everyone in America just letting it happen. After all, the populace aren't responsible for the government and they don't have to give a fuck about it, as long as it doesn't affect them.

you can't read then, I mentioned requirement and responsibility, your idea of what responsibility is: 'someone should know this conflict because it might effect them down the line' when that's not necessarily the case. They can find out, but a lot of people just don't care, that doesn't make it right for them to go find out neither is it bad if they don't

we are discussing whether its someones right to learn something if they do or do not want to while you're talking about america ejaculating over people
i'm glad you're getting the picture though, people aren't necessarily responsible for their governments

i can find out if I want to, but i'm not going to scream at someone for not knowing the latest gossip or news

Never mind the fact that a country's foreign policy does indirectly affect its citizens at home: you still don't care about the countless people your elected government is killing? since when did it become a requirement to vote, don't have to if I don't want to. At the end of the day they are pretty much all the same. You can't blame someone for murder because apparently you voting for a politician or government could of stopped that. Blaming a entire population because of a few peoples mistakes because they have the right to vote is is childish and shameful. Not knowing a location of a country or who the president of said country is or where their cities are located or the foreign affairs of your government isn't a crime nor is it a responsibility for you to know if you do not wish to know.
Governments do so many things behind closed doors and have so many conflicts that go unheard of that its pretty difficult for your average person who works from 9-5 to keep up with it.
Dude at 2:04 man, I laughed.
