• My exciting elevator adventure or: How I got stuck in an elevator for 40 minutes

As many of you probably know, today is Father's Day. My family decided to go visit my grandparents to celebrate with them. It was a pretty normal time, my grandma would give us a ton of food and then keep asking us if we wanted more and my mom would argue with her about random things. Anyways, once it was time to leave my dad went to drive the car up to the entrance (they live in an apartment) and we (me, my mom, and my sister) soon followed. We got into the elevator and as it was going down it stopped at the third floor for some reason and opened the interior doors but not the external doors (so we were staring at the part of the elevator doors you're normally not supposed to see). Then the doors closed and we went down farther and stopped, but this time none of the doors opened. After about five minutes of nothing happening we pressed the button in the elevator that calls the building and talked to some lady for a bit and she called some repair people or something. So after about 40 minutes of us sitting there my dad and some repair people finally pried open the elevator doors. And because text is boring: [IMG_thumb]http://imgur.com/HVMpQ.jpg[/IMG_thumb] Well that was my evening
Well, you had quality time with your dad.
Should have shit on the floor. [editline]01:22AM[/editline] It would creep the repair men out [editline]01:22AM[/editline] and be naked and shout at them in a foreign language
[QUOTE=triFeral;22764411]Well, you had quality time with your dad.[/QUOTE] If you count him being on the other side of an elevator door quality time then yeah I guess I did.
YAY Why didn't YOU try and force the doors open? theyr'e not that hard, i've opened the elevators at school before.
I almost got stuck in an elevator with a bunch of other people in my apartment. It randomly stopped in between floors then just dropped like 5 feet. It did that twice before we all decided to get off and take the stairs. After living in an apartment for a year and taking the elevator nearly every day, I have developed a minor phobia of them.

I got stuck in am elevator once. With like 3 fat guys. Never get in an elevator with fat people.
Elevators are scary. Sometimes.
The funny thing is we were at a hotel yesterday and my sister's friend said she was scared of elevators and my mom said that that was a silly thing to be scared of, and look what happens.
That doesn't sound very exciting. Actually, that sounds very very boring. My condolences.
