Nothing special guys, just one of many songs I've done, decided to upload :). Any questions, just ask :D http://soundcloud.com/bara-2/in-a-word
Okay, you're singing a little off pitch for some of the hold notes, it's very nasal, the recording quality is iffy, the rotor is a little too much, you're blowing the channel with the electric guitar...a lot, but oh man, that is some tasty riff. I don't know why but I love it, holy crap holy crap holy crap, the ending is so awesome. I think the levels getting too hot may actually add to the song. So basically 1:30 and beyond is pure awkwardly awesome, and I don't even know why. I can't even decide what I'd rate this song, it' such a strange combination of "wtf dude" and "omg dude" that I think I'll never make up my mind about the issue. Rated informative lol.
Something's fucked up with the audio, the guitar playing itself is wonderful. Is it over compressed, or is your recording hardware shit? There's some major audio tearing, and it really takes away from the music that's there.
Indeed my good friends. This is recorded through a webcam :3. I don't have much to work with, but I try to work with what I got. Just using audacity, a couple effects like reversing the guitar in the chorus, and delay/reverb on my voice. I'm trying to focus on my songwriting though, not so much as the quality. And yeah, the singing is off pitch, and the guitar playing isn't perfect. That seems to be how I like it atm xD Cos I'm kinda inspired by that alternative sound atm. Plus I don't like doing many takes, infact, most of the song was even written. The chords and words were, the rest is just improvising with recording so :)
Save up 80 bucks and go to guitar center, you can get a decent audio interface with guitar input to record directly into your machine. Trust me, when you buy new music gear like that, you always feel like it's totally worth it.

I'm not actually that bothered about the recording stuff tbh :P I do these songs more for myself, and maybe to use as a solo side project kind of thing, and just for fun. Thought I'd get some peoples opinions though :) so Thank you :D
Just a suggestion, I really think you have great potential and I would like to hear more of the music you wrote.

Hell, even something like this would do you a world of good:

Mmmhmm, I think if I started to ever make money off anything I wrote like this at home, I would save up for some decent mics and what not :) But I hope to join a band sometime soon, and write some stuff with them with some real gear. This kinda stuff, like I said, I side solo kinda thing. And thanks for taking interest :D its been good hearing your opinion :)
