To make Bloodborne even better, we're announcing a slight delay to release date. We're focusing on quality so please look forward to it.

Dear community, It is with regret that I must inform you that Bloodborne will be slightly delayed. While development continues unabated, we would like our team to deliver the best possible final experience. We were gratified by the feedback and data we received from those who participated in our limited Alpha test. The extra production time will also allow us to better integrate these learnings. Bloodborne is now set to launch in North America exclusively on PS4 on March 24th, 2015. Please look forward to some exciting Bloodborne news in early December. Thank you very much for your continued support.
http://www.jp.playstation.com/op/bloodborne/news/2014/11/releasedate.html Fucking hell. However, I must admit I'm kinda happy because for the first time ever, the US gets it first. We'll finally have the day one experience in PVP where the wiki isn't filled in so no one knows what they're doing unlike previous titles. Shit happened with Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls II. It's our time now.
If they're actually using that time to address what they got in feedback from the alpha then I'm fine with the delay. Plus it will give my wallet more time to recover from the holidays.
Why do we need exclusives, why not make it for PC as well. Gameplay looks so good.
Why do we need exclusives, why not make it for PC as well. Gameplay looks so good.
Sony is funding them. Without Sony funding them, there would be no Bloodborne.
Has there been a single PS4 exclusive that hasn't been delayed?
Sony is funding them. Without Sony funding them, there would be no Bloodborne.
And one of their studios is helping with development.
Why do we need exclusives, why not make it for PC as well. Gameplay looks so good.
I'm willing to bet it's not even a good game.
Why do we need exclusives, why not make it for PC as well. I mean technically, a billionaire could fund a project that is the most amazing game ever made and he'd be perfectly within his right to never release it. Also Sony Japan is working on it and if the whole [sp]Umbasa thing turns out to be true, it's based on another Sony IP Demon's Souls. Without Sony there wouldn't be Dark Souls[/sp]

This is the first time I'm hearing of this thing called Bloodborne.
Sony is funding them. Without Sony funding them, there would be no Bloodborne.
Did Dark Souls 2 do so bad they had to ask for money from sony?
Did Dark Souls 2 do so bad they had to ask for money from sony?
They've been developing Bloodborne since they release the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Dark Souls 2 came out this year, how would they get funding from Sony and develop a game in less than a year?
Anyword if Australia will be getting a collector's edition? I haven't been able to find one for preorder anywhere. :(
im okay with this because it gives me time to save money for a ps4
Pc only people get so hurt by console exclusives
I'm not "pc only people". I liked the teaser they showed at the E3, seemed very promising, but as more info and screenshots arrived it just seems like a darker Dark Souls with more fantasy.
Fucking hell. However, I must admit I'm kinda happy because for the first time ever, the US gets it first.
The US always get stuff first as a lot of companies are American.
Region specific launches are pointless in the age of digital downloads. I'll be doing what I usually do, downloading off the US PSN and getting it for 25 euro cheaper.
My thing with these games in particular is if you don't get the day one experience in your country, half of the wiki is filled by the time you get it. Personally I go in completely blind not knowing a thing about the bosses/gear/covenants but that still doesn't stop other players from using the wiki and min maxing all the stuff they want by looking at damage/defense charts on the wiki.

Good idea. They already had The Order for Feb. Two big AAA games in one month could cannibalize sales. Plus, The Order was already delayed anyways.
yeah but thats not the case when you're working with a japanese dev/publisher team, they usually release to japan a few weeks earlier
And in Europe we often wait months for Japanese games, if we get them at all.
darn but at the same time I'm OK with this I don't really want to rush out and get a PS4 so it sort of works for me
I'm okay with this. I'll have shit to do during the feburary so hopefully by the time Bloodborne actually comes out, it will be at a time where i don't have to worry about college as much.
