State The Genre/Genres That You Feel Ashamed To Have Not Divulged Enough Into.

Long-ish title, but to the point.
I would have to say Blues. Now I'm not a complete noob when it comes to blues, I'm a huge blues rock fan. But when it comes directly to plain old blues... I will struggle to hold a conversation as long as I would with something like Jazz. :saddowns:
It is a shame because I have gone to the extremes with Jazz, trying possibly every style incorporated within the genre and I am pretty sure that I am accustomed with it.
I try and use MrJazzy's blues knowledge as an advantage, but I always fall back into jazz rather than blues...
It's just a case of knowing the core artists, but not bothering to go further into the unknown.
Tell me yours.
Soul
Drone
Definitely Drone and ambient.

Do you like the sound of this?

Not quite "Sunn O)))" but a good start on ambient drone.
The modern folk rock scene. It would be nice if anyone could suggest me a few artists.
I have Boris' Floods album, my favourite is easily part 3, I like upbeat sort of ambient and drone, stuff like Earth's The Bee's Made Honey In The Lions Skull.
But yeah that sounds pretty awesome.
Reggae and blues, I've heard some amazing reggae stuff but everytime I'm sat at my PC I don't really have much time for exploring the internet for music, and just put on some of the usual metal instead.

Trampled by Turtles are really good, and as far as I remember Greenland is Melting (think that's the name)
:v: Also if you want some scottish stuff there's The Corries.

The thing with Drone Ambient, is that it doesn't necessarily have to have an affiliation with "Drone Doom Metal".
I don't really have much time for exploring the internet for music
Pfff... I don't really have much to say to that.
Dedicate more time towards looking for music?
Reggae and Blues are definitely genres worth divulging into.
*stuff*
I actually meant any kind of Folk.
Though Folk rock seems to be more dominant in my music library at the moment.
Cool stuff but nothing breathtaking or amazing, alright that last video is amazing. Cool beards too.

Comus are a pretty important folk band. Although not having released much their one album "First Utterance" must be heard.

Jazz, reaggae and classical are all things I've been meaning to try and get into but haven't yet.

Most of the time I'm on the internet is when I'm at work, which leaves me without sound. I'm gonna make a plan this weekend to do it, and I've got a friend who can send me a shitload of reggae.

While you're at it.
Bob Marley & The Wailors' Exodus album.
Dennis Brown's Visions of Dennis Brown album.
Get them both and enjoy :smug:

I love jazz

Jazz Fusion has the capability of making you like it as much as Prog Rock. Trust me. :smug:
Folk, Jazz, blues, classical and prog rock.
I need to get off my ass and learn stuff about these genres.
I've listened to some jazz fusion yeah. Mainly metal though.

Try one week without metal, I feel you need a break just to get some fresh air. :smug:

Like I said, never miss an opportunity to see Larry and his Flask live. I saw them open for Streetlight Manifesto last month, and I'm already having withdrawls.
